I was not told that I had to pay $300 out of pocket for an 'assistant surgeon.' I wasn't informed very well about the procedure and timing either. I would not recommend coming here for any procedures.

He was gentle, efficient, and competent. He explained the procedures well and I understood what needed to be done. Arrangements were made, surgery scheduled, further in-office tests performed. I have liked all the staff also! After-surgery care was excellent and I left the office with a smile!

Their way or the highway
After being referred to Dr. Antonini and waiting 6 weeks for an appointment, I finally got in today. He was lovely. Did one test and I was told he would need to do 3 more before any treatment and each of them needed to be done on separate days. Due to their scheduling, I would not be able to actually get treatment for another 6 weeks. BECAUSE otherwise, insurance would not cover it! I said I would pay personally and they asked if I would sign a document to that effect. I said 'yes'. The billing manager was inflexible and not kind, but I was so excited to actually get this taken care of. But I got a call a few minutes ago saying they are dropping me as a patient and to find someone else. Just don't ask any questions at this place or even approximate challenging their scheduling. BTW, I am a doctor and they decided to continue calling me Ms. XXX, even when I asked to be called by my first name.

We went to Dr Antonini with an insurance preapproved medically necessary procedure for a minor. We explained to him & his staff that it was already approved but due to the covid outbreak we opted to do an in-office procedure with him instead of a hospital procedure with a different doctor. Dr Antonini and his staff were fully aware we had preapproval with insurance & they worked with me to ensure they used the same exact diagnosis/treatment codes. They said they do not file insurance for this procedure, but told me I could & they gave me all the paperwork with correct codes. Since it was preapproved, I told them I had no problem sending it in since I knew it was covered. We paid in advance for the surgery. When Insurance sent the approved EOB, Dr. Antonini’s & his billing office told me that insurance does not pay enough for the procedure and that is why they do not submit it. They would not reimburse me to their contracted rate. I signed nothing saying I was a cash patient.

Dr Antonini is professional, competent, and kind
He was on time. He examines and does tests. He gives you options with details of your condition. He acts decisively with the plan of approach. He is caring. He works with other doctors. In my case, it was a co surgery and he was the lead. He made my family feel comfortable. He is a very happy and kind person.

It’s been a year and a half since this man did my surgery. After surgery I went in a few times trying to explain my complications. He didn’t want to listen to me. Kept telling me to be patient. Rushing my office visit. Been to several specialist and now I have an appointment with an urogynecolist next month. Hopefully she will be able to fix what this man did to me. I would not recommend at all

Dr Antonini is an excellent doctor. He takes the time to go over the issues and provides explanations . I have never had a doctor call me to go over the results of my surgery. The office was efficient in dealing with insurance and appointments. My honest opinion.

I’ve been in pain for years and hoped Dr. Antonini could help me. Instead, he Misdiagnosed my condition as OAB after a horribly painful cystoscopy and prescribed meds that, luckily, I never took. Disregarded my symptoms as just mild IC and OAB and sent me away after trying to convince me to have some expensive experimental laser procedure on my vulva (insurance doesn’t cover, of course) which I declined. Fast forward several months, I get 2nd opinion and CT scan showing severe hydronephrosis (not IC) which would have been worsened by the meds Dr. Antonini prescribed me. I should have known to go somewhere else when the office is full of ads for vaginal rejuvenation and urinary incontinence. If you’re under the age of 65, find somewhere else to go and don’t waste your money or time here. I had 6 more months of unnecessary pain due to the mistake of choosing Dr. Antonini. PSA- Beware of a urology office that looks like a plastic surgeons office.

When I arrived at the first appointment they had no knowledge of my being scheduled. The staff was anything but friendly. On the second appointment Dr., Antonini performed a pelvic exam which was so rough that it exacerbated an already delicate condition causing the existing problems to worsen. It was only after my exam that I learned Dr. Antonini carried a reputation for performing very rough exams. Although I think Dr. Antonini is a competent physician, I will not return

Very poor office staff. When I arrived I was told my appointment was cancelled. Apparently he doesn't do annual exams; however; the office staff I spoke with on the phone said he did general exams and would field questions about birth control, too. The office cancelled my appointment without a courtesy call and provided a pretty lackluster apology. I blocked out my morning schedule to make it to this appointment and they couldn't even provide a courtesy call. Patient beware.

Not only is Dr. Antonini the best doctor that I've seen in dealing with the transvaginal mesh that had ruined my life, but he is such a kind and compassionate man. I've had horrible experiences with other doctors but Dr. Antonini made me feel totally comfortable and let me know that I wasn't alone and that he could not only remove the mesh but he fixed everything that could be fixed. He took the time to explain every step that needed to be done and why. He's someone I'd recommend to anyone.
