Diamond in disguise
I have been a patient of Dr. Zarcone's for decades. She is the very BEST diagnostician and I recommend her without reservation! I trust my life in her hands and never doubt her instructions or advice. She will answer any questions, as often as is necessary for my full understanding and I am always treated with dignity and respect. I have read many negative comments about her so I am eager to add my thoughts. Dr. Zarcone is busy and in high demand. Wait times used to be excessive but have improved significantly in recent years. I would wait all day for her, if need be, because I am THAT confident in her skills and a positive resolution to whatever happened to ail me at the time. I can understand how someone could be put off by her 'bedside manner' as she has a strong confident personality. But be honest, would you prefer a hug or the best medical care available? If you are offended by her modus operandi tell her. She will respect you and be more sensitive to your needs.

Unprofessional.
They never called in my prescription and there is no way to reach a human by phone; you have to call and leave a message. When the nurse called me back she yelled at me and then hung up on me! I haven't been able to get a return call since. The visit itself felt like all they do is referrals to specialists - they don't do annual exam paps and charge a copay for the required followup call to get your annual exam results. I now can't get my results sent to a new doctor or my needed prescription! I'm flabbergasted by this terrible experience/treatment by medical professionals.

Folks, be warned that this doctor has no bedside manner. She is not someone I would feel comfortable talking with about my medical issues or concerns; she seems like she could not care less, and does not even attempt to act like she does. But any pill you ask for, she is willing to give you, so if that's your goal, then this is the doctor for you!! Good luck... I for one, will be looking elsewhere for a primary physician that will (at least pretend to) be concerned about my health and well-being.

Would not recommend!!! – Sep 09, 2021
×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Zarcone?
I would definitely not recommend this doctor. I really wanted to like her, but that was simply impossible. She has a terrible bedside manner; she doesn't even try to pretend that she cares about you. She has a brash and uncaring demeanor and she's certainly not a doctor that you would feel comfortable talking with about a health concern. There HAS to be a better doctor out there for me. I refuse to believe that they are all as uncaring as she seems to be. Not sure why she even has any patients; maybe they just can't be bothered to look for someone else. Not me. I deserve more than this!!

Her staff is nice and always apologetic for Zarcone’s short temper, lateness, frantic behavior and nasty attitude. She feels that she is above everyone and you will wait continually for your appt. a minimum of two hour wait always.

When being discharged, Dr. Valerie Zarcone prescribed 4 medications for me and screwed up all 4. 2 of them are controlled substances. A friend picked them up for me, since I have a broken hip and my friend didn’t know what was prescribed and now I’m stuck with all of these rules. Dr. Zarcone refuses to take responsibility for her mistakes, to fix them and even to call me. Her office staff is rude, kept interrupting me and wanted me to call my PCP, so that he can fix her mistakes.

Outstand professiona, highly educated MD. I can say with 100 percent transparency , this provider saved my quality of life, and allowed me to give back, priceless time with my daughter. This is due to an devastation chronic dx. Valerie is my MD, and I would trust my life and my daughters life under her medical excellence. I write this to thank MD Zarcone, and express my gratitude. I speak of my own volition, and will continue to respect and thank her as my provider. KK

Dr. Zarcone was my mother's doctor for many years, right up until she died in December. While she may have been a good doctor in the past, her patient care, communication, and bedside manner were unacceptable during the past few years of my mom's life. I truly wish my mother would have agreed to switch to a doctor who listened to what was going on, rather than rushing in and out, or talking over her. She was unaware of health changes, and there was not communication with her other doctors.

Arrived late, no apology. Absolutely no interest in finding out why i had come to the doctor. Seemed to be in a bad mood and talked to me with her back to me. Spent seven minutes in total. Did not feel comfortable with her and would not see her again. She was rude and overbearing and not professional.
