Dr. Vanessa Graves, MD

I was searching for a Dr. that listens to me and does not dismiss my aliments as insignificant. She is knowledgeable about our community and will refer you to resources that can assist in your healing. I refer her to all my friends who are seeking outstanding care.

Dr Graves was extremely friendly and helpful throughout my visit. She took time to ask many questions about my problem and worked out a plan with me, giving my multiple options and recommendations to finding the cause and best treatment pathway. She also recommended a referral when she felt something was outside the her experience. Overall I was very pleased with our visit and felt she listened and took time to find the cause rather than just giving me a medication.

I completely agree with other one star reviews. Dr. Graves is incredibly dismissive. She does brag about her education, but seems to lack common sense and observation skills. I also work in a form of healthcare and when you know how it’s supposed to work, you understand you aren’t going to get it from Dr. Graves. When she made blanket statements concerning people she doesn’t know, I knew she was not a credible source of information (no matter how many years she has spent reading research. She will tell you all about it). Doctors who can’t listen commonly misdiagnose issues and cause patients more harm than good. And front desk staff were also unfriendly. I would not recommend her or this facility to anyone. There are MUCH better providers out there!

Vanessa has very poor chairside manner & dismissive tendencies towards patient concerns. I am in the healthcare field. I take reviews seriously, which is why I feel it is necessary to warn others about Hayden Lake Family Phys. doctor, Vanessa Graves. Horrible. She lectured me about issues surrounding covid-19, belittled my career, & then was dismissive over concerns I had about my digestive system. I heard after my appointment that she is the daughter of “someone important”, which now makes sense why she has not been fired. I did NOT show up to talk about covid, yet she insisted we discuss it and when I brought up rationale which I had read from research papers, she then shoved in my face her degree and education. She will not listen and has her own agenda. Let me help you avoid a waste of your time and money. Do NOT go here. Also, I was early to my new patient appointment and the older thin gal at the front was very sharp and rude, as if I were irritating her by being present.

Dr. Graves was AMAZING! She was exceptionally personable and kind. I was hesitant to see a new physician, as my previous MD was so great, BUT Dr. Graves exceeded my expectations. She (unlike SO many providers) took the time to go over my history with me instead of me filling out pages and pages of paperwork or having an MA enter everything. Needless to say I am very happy with Dr. Graves and look forward to seeing her again.

Worst bedside manner. She’s a know-it-all with no compassion.

I seen Dr.Graves, I was approximately ten minutes late because it was our first visit and I went to the wrong clinic as I had never been there before. When I showed up she had agreed to see me. But first the receptionist let me know I was late, then the doctor came in and let me know she was seeing me this time but due to time schedule if I am late again that wouldn't probably be possible. Had I received paper work in the mail and known where her office was I wouldn't have been late. I receive a bill for 200.00 all she did is refer me to the ER and tell me i'm lat. Bill my insurance! Rude people no compassion. I established primary care with someone else. I think the great reviews must be family member's, I wasn't impressed. I understand being on time is important, I also understand that compassion and understanding of the first visit and no knowledge of where the office is did not deserve a lecture. The doctor works for me, I pay for my health care and this is not who I choose.
