Dr. Victor Neel, MD

I saw Dr Neel for the moh’s procedure. He’s very knowledgeable. He does a wonderful job explaining everything. He’s happy to answer (all) your questions. He’s kind, caring and considerate. He’s an excellent surgeon. I’d give him many more stars if available. If you are looking for the best dermatology surgeon… look no further… it’s Dr. Neel!?? ????????????????????????

2 Mohs surgeries. First 2008 Second October 2022. Excellent care. Very supportive. Difficult surgery. Healing nicely.

Dr Neel removed a basal cell carcinoma from my nose, a very visible spot. I asked if a plastic surgeon could please close the incision. He said, Yes, certainly, if it seemed necessary. Dr Neal closed the incision himself in 5-10 minutes. My nose has a large extension on the side he closed with what appears to be a railroad track down the middle of my nose. Would he have lost money by calling in a plastic surgeon? Very unsatisfactory and demeaning!

10 months ago Dr. Neel removed a small squamous cell carcinoma on my chest. I said I did not mind a few stitches to close the area but Dr. Neel decided to leave the area open to heal by "secondary intention" and this would leave a better look than stitches, then he just left the room and there was no further discussion; I assumed he knew best. Well I was left with an open wound on my chest for months and which also became infected and I had to go on an antibiotic. I have had other more invasive surgeries at MGH in which the doctors were absolutely wonderful and the scars from those surgeries look better than the small area on my chest that Dr. Neel excised. I will never go back to MGH dermatology.

Today 9/02/21 was my first visit To Dr. Neel (referred by Dr. Tan).. He and his staff EXCEPTIONAL, Kind and KNOWLEDGE of their craft!!!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND....

Dr Neel is the answer to a patient's prayers. Professional, Personable and Highly skilled. I am an over anxious person, and he and his nurse Maria put me completely at ease. He made an anticipated stressful surgery completely stress free. Having confidence in your Doctor is vital, and from the moment I met Dr Neel I had complete confidence..

I had Mohs surgery with Dr Neel and give him five stars. He made me very relaxed and gave me confidence with his ability . He did not rush in answering my questions and made me comfortable with the procedure.

Dr. Neel is a warm, patient and highly competent doctor. He performed Mohs surgery on my squamous skin cancer and did a great job. He answered my written list of questions fully and patiently. I came away feeling satisfied with all his answers and with my choice of him as a surgeon for skin cancer. I highly recommend him if you need mohs surgery. Bella S.
