Disappointed
Unfortunately while waiting for Dr. Muraliraj, I could hear him complaining to the nurse about me. He was upset that I was early for my appointment and questioned how I got my appointment so quickly, even though I had been waiting over a month to see him. I let the office know ahead of time I had been exposed to Covid, but they told me to come in anyway if I could provide a negative test. I brought the negative test with me but no one ever asked for it or questioned me about my exposure. When I finally saw Dr. Muraliraj he was callous and seemed very unhappy to be there. He came highly recommended by another one of my doctors but I was very disappointed in our interaction and he looked at me like I was crazy when I told him what I wanted help with. I do not recommend Dr. Muraliraj.

My journey began on January 18, 2019 when I was diagnosed with stage lll rectal cancer at 47. With no family history of cancer I was totally shocked and overwhelmed with the diagnosis. I first met Dr. Muraliraj later that year on April 22nd for an examination and consultation regarding the upcoming surgery. This was after a 5 week radiation and chemotherapy regiment. He was well mannered and spoke with such an easiness. His demeanor was that of concern but was very confident and thorough in describing the procedure and risks that came with the surgery. Throughout the course of this process he had consistently maintained a level of professionalism and never left without asking if I had any questions. The time finally arrived and a large tumor with several lymph nodes along with a section of my rectum was removed using an advanced laparoscopic procedure, which took a pain staking 8 hours. His devotion and passion in practicing medicine is what would eventually save my life.

Dr. Muraliraj is very professional, knowledgeable, and skillful. He describes issues/situations/symptoms very clearly in both scientific and regular language. He did a laparoscopic colorectal surgery on me. The outcome is optimal and very positive: almost no pain, recovery faster than expected. A truly outstanding colorectal surgeon in Torrance California.

His medical explanations were thorough & answered any questions. Followed up with call when he said he would. Reviewed pre-surgical testing results in a very timely manner. Surgery then scheduled ASAP. Dr. M. thorough at hospital visits: checked surgical site, explained progress & discharge. He practices the most current surgical techniques. Beautifully healed surgical site. Office staff professional & efficient in scheduling, verifying insurance & providing information. Most positive outcome!

I went to the ER in the first part of April in a lot of pain in my abdomen. My gallbladder was perforated and infected. Dr. Muraliraj did a great job making sure that the gallbladder was the only affected area that I had, he had his team run several tests so that he knew exactly what he had to do. I am forever grateful for his amazing work. I would highly recommend Dr. Muraliraj and his team. They are no.1 as far as I'm concerned. Thank You Again Doctor, Tony Ordaz

Dr. Muraliraj is very knowledgeable and a skilled surgeon with a fantastic human quality which puts his patients and their families at ease. He takes the extra time that is needed even when other surgeons do not.
