Read the reviews and you’ll see a consistent thread. Dr. Desai is a talented clinician with a fantastic bedside manner. Having worked in healthcare for my entire career I hold extremely high standards for the physicians who work with my wife and he exceeds them. He is extremely knowledgeable, explains well, and doesn’t mind questions. I also really appreciate that he seeks out additional guidance when he feels it’s necessary. His staff has been incredibly helpful and treat my wife with great empathy and genuine concern.

After a serious infection & hospital stay, I was treated for 60 + days by Dr. Desai, Shameran (who headed up my wound care treatment), and his entire staff, literally. 7 days/week for the first three weeks....so I got to know this group well and they are incredible. I truly feel they saved my life and I healed much faster than was anticipated. I contribute that to the amazing detail and time that is spent with each patient to fully evaluate and stay on top of all situations. I just can't say enough about this team. I feel like part of the family now (happy to not be seeing them for treatment anymore but wouldn't HESITATE to recommend or be there again if I ever needed to be).

Fantastic! I required 13 months of care from HCID, involving treatment from their entire staff. Beginning with the front office, infusion facility, wound specialists, to Dr Desai and his network of professionals, my confidence in managing my complex condition was never in doubt! I cannot recommend the HCID team with more enthusiasm.

I was sent to Dr. Desai post finger surgery. I had suffered a serious infection. The surgeon stated that he doubted that the finger could be saved; however, he felt that it deserved a chance. He referred me to Dr. Desai for treatment. With his great knowledge and skill, Dr. Desai was able to save my finger! I will be eternally grateful to him!

Dr.Desai has healed me and kept me well! His extensive knowledge on immune compromised patients affords him the ability to implement a treatment plan that is tailored to your specific needs. The results are amazing!! Highly recommend him!

Office staff is the worst, they don’t return calls. I asked to speak to the office manager twice and was denied. They kept me from making an appointment, I’m handicapped and disabled. They told me that he couldn’t handle a foot infection (go figure) he’s an infectious disease doctor?

Had to visit for an infusion on mutliple days. Very easy process. Made my visits streamlined, informative and effective. Dr. Desai is extremely professional, thorough and knowledgeable. Would absolutely recommend.

Dr Desai and his staff treated me extraordinarily well! They paid so close attention to me as a person that I went in for an IV treatment one day and the nurse noticed I just wasn’t myself. She started asking me more questions and finally checked my pulse. She advised me to go to the hospital, which I did. I was in AFIB. Not life threatening, but definitely needed to be treated. His staff kept up with me during that short stay and ensured I stayed on course for my treatments. Great Folks!

Dr Desai is a fantastic physician. He is very thorough, professional and knowledgeable. He explains things well during office visits and is always great about answering questions. I will continue to see him as long as I can and highly recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Desai did an excellent job! I highly recommend him. After visiting various doctors & being placed on wrong antibiotics, he was able to diagnose my condition quickly & was able to treat it for good.

Dr. Desai didn't like my negative review of him or HCID on Facebook. We were met with a 30 day end of treatment form and told to find a new doctor. Instead of trying to remedy the problems and improve patient care it's easier for them to dismiss the patient. We would have gladly found a new doctor if HCID hadn't held my husband's records and prescription hostage instead of helping him get treatment. Dr. Desai, if you want 5 star reviews then you and HCID should only give patients 5 star care!

I saw Dr. Desai while I was at St Luke's Hospital in The Woodlands, I was there for 7 days and he examined and communicated with me daily. He was very compassionate and concerned about my health. He treated my infection very aggressively when other doctors acted very uncaring. I would recommend him to any family member and friends.
