Very poor office staff but Dr. Huhn is very good.
I have been a patient with Dr. Huhn for 20 years and have always been happy with her. But over the last couple of years the office procedures have declined dramatically. Only about have the time dose anyone answer the phone in the office. The lab, which is an inhouse lab, generally doesn't answer the phone either or will simply pick up the phone and then hang up, I am not kidding. If you do get through on the phone you get a message telling you to leave a message, which I did but after two days didn't receive a call back. I call the office again and after the third call I got through to a person who transferred me to the labs fax machine. I called back and got and another operator who said she would call the lab for me and then connect me with them. After about ten minutes the operator told me she couldn't get through to the lab so she called the office and was that I would need to physically go to the lab office and make an appointment with them. I now go to another Endocrinologist.

Don’t do it!!!
She has no bedside manner! Very nasty and condescending and could care less about you or what you’re going through. Smart mouth and talked down to me! Wait times are long! I would’ve given her Dr Huhn zero stars had that been an option. STAY AWAY!!!

Lack of Visit
After the office cancelled appointments after my making two lab visits, and my not being able to get an appointment for months, the office failed to put in for a lab order, for my current appointment in two weeks, which I assumed would have been done. It wasn’t. The lack of follow-up is very poor. I’ve been a patient for at least 10 years. Whoever checks the files and needs of the patients is not doing their job. I have to constantly call I for updates of my prescriptions as well.

Rude, cold, toxic
After a year of professional, polite, comprehensive, warm visits with Dr. Huhn, during a visit this week, we saw the Ms. Hyde described in other reviews. She was insulting, for no reason, rude, cold to a toxic level. In the past, she mentioned that emotional health was important for physical health. Have no idea of reason for the 180 degree change. However her attitude seemed almost malicious. Her unprofessionally dressed sidekick assistant was odd too.

Neglectful Doctor!
I took my daughter to see Dr. Huhn, thinking that a female doctor might be more compassionate. We had done some research and had a feeling it might be a thyroid problem so we wanted a specialist to look at her and help us. Dr. Huhn, was the most disappointing doctor that I have ever been to and I felt so bad that I had taken my daughter to see her. My daughter left in tears. I believe that when my daughter mentioned that she had researched her condition, the doctor took it personal and it hurt her ego so she brushed us off and just told us that she was "going to have Hashimoto's" and flung a pamphlet at us to read and walked out the room. No explanations, no plan of action, nothing! Fast forward 5 years and now my daughter has full blown hashimotos. Perhaps if this doctor had taken time to explain and try to some preventative measures, we may not be where we are right now. If you don't care, you should not be in the business of caring for patients.

I got put on prednisone for another condition and spent three weeks calling to find out what to do with my insulin. When my blood sugar hit 300 I had to change doctors. I never got a call back. Btw she works for Orlando Health

Quite disappointed with care. Dr. Huhn was recommended by my primary care so I followed up. She appeared knowledgable and ran some of the necessary tests for thyroid. However, when she determined my diagnosis of autoimmune hypothyroidism, she told me to do nothing and just wait to see her again in 6 months while all along my autoimmune condition runs amuck. I inquired about some interventions in the meantime and was given an egotistical response that the necessary tests had been run and nothing more would be done or ordered by her office. I was also advised I could not set an appointment to meet with Dr. Huhn until the 6 months had passed. Very poor physician who will not walk along side a patient in their care.

Initial visit on May 5, 2020. Though the staff was professional and courteous, Dr. Wendy Huhn had none of those attributes in my experience. She mocked me when I inquired about hormone and/or electrolyte imbalances. She seemed unaware that hormonal issues affect hair loss, weight gain, fatigue and insomnia all of which I was suffering, but was not given the opportunity to explain. She repeatedly stated that hormones were mostly for 'sex'. She did not listen when I spoke or tried to answer her few questions. She actually implied that I was being inattentive, pointing between her brows and said, "focus". In my opinion, Dr. Huhn was rude, cocky and condescending. Why would I pay or trust a professional with my healthcare needs and services when it is blatantly obvious that they do not have my best interest at heart? Am I to go to each office visit ready for mockery and verbally abusive treatment? Considering the many other reviews and my own experience, I could never recommend her.

First time visit. She was incredibly in knowledgeable about medication, cgm’s or insulin pumps. Her words,”I only know about one because it’s been around for 27 years” There were several other mishaps, with so many, including the checkout staff, I will never go back.

Wendy Huhn is the rudest, most uncaring doctor I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. Stay as far away from her as possible. Huhn has zero bedside manner and when I explained the side effects I was having she told me to "get over it". When you ask questions she leans in and speaks to you like you're an idiot, but does not actually answer you. She does not care about her patients and, after a year of seeing her, I went to another endocrinologist and it was like a breath of fresh-air.

Dr. Huhn was to monitor my hormone levels after having a tumor removed from my pituitary gland. Due to her negligence in scheduling my first appointment three weeks following surgery, (learned should have been a week following surgery), I was admitted to the hospital twice before AND sadly twice AFTER seeing her. I don't have enough space here to explain how rude, belittling, detached, and incompetent she was in caring for me as her patient. Her actions screamed total disinterest in my care.

She is rude uncaring. If you have questions about your health she belittles you, her agenda or nothing. She puts you on a heart med for thyroid and can't manage it after that. If you are hyer and decline RAI she's not wanting to treat you after that. I've learned more from a FB group than her. Hoyt is great however. He may be the only one in office that has compassion and a clue.
