Dr. William Stamey, MD

Dr. Stamey was fantastic. I accompanied a family member to his initial visit. The doctor listened, asked a variety of questions and did a thorough assessment, head to toe! He was extremely kind to both myself and my family member. We have some tests to complete and then we will follow up with the doctor. I would absolutely recommend him to others.

Dr. Stamey resisted involvement of family members in my father's care, despite my father wanting our mom and his daughters to be included. My father had Parkinson's and dementia and was not able to accurately report his own symptoms and experiences and could not remember changes to his medications or other medical recommendations. Yet, Dr. Stamey would become upset when we joined any part of my father's medical visits and told nursing staff to not allow me and my sister and mother to join medical appointments. We were looking for family-centered care. He did not offer this.
