Dr. Winston Capel, MD

Dr. Capel is a phenomenal surgeon. My teenage daughter has suffered greatly with back pain and SI joint dysfunction for 2 1/2 years, due to a sports injury. Dr. Capel, performed an SI Joint Fusion surgery, and she is remarkably better! Well on her way to finishing High School and out to lead the life she chooses without excruciating pain! His bedside manner is unheard of, the best we have ever encountered, truly an amazing man of God, and surgeon. 5 stars all the way!!

YES. When went to see Dr. Capel I could not put any weight on my right thigh, leg, or foot. I couldn’t drive for a while. I had get someone to drive me back and forth to him. He did X- rays, MRIs and CTs. He showed me the problem was and we tried PT, in home PT to no avail. We started talking about surgery and I just looked at tests and explained in DETAIL what happening with my back. The pain I was having was very unbearable at times. He told that had to be done to my back. He described a lot of the hardware he was going to use. Well, I went to see and told him whatever has to be done, do it ASAP. It is hard to explain to other people about excruciating pain. Dr. Capel did the surgery and after I was able to move, I could tell the difference immediately. YOU TALKING TEARS OF JOY, I had them. I went to see him today and I just had to tell him what GREAT and WONDERFUL JOB HE DID FOR ME. I told he was short changes his patients by not being able to fix other bones in our bodies.

He performed spinal surgery on me, He is a amazing surgeon, We feel lucky and blessed he came down our path

Dr Capel took care of my long time lower back issues. I was referred to him by Spinal Group. I have had 25 years of recurring issues and he was understanding and explained what I needed to try before settling on a pain implant. Under his instructions I got relief from his block instructions that had never worked before.

He listened patiently, excellent bedside manners, and upmost professional.

I have never met a doctor that makes his own phone calls, I have been blown away by the quality of care Dr. Capel and his nurses provide. Not 5 star worthy they get 10 in my book??

This was my second visit with Dr. Capel. I was referred by Dr. John Young (Ortho). I unfortunately suffered a L4 compression fracture back in June. Dr. Capel is thorough, professional, knowledgeable, and caring. He does what is best for the patient- at all times. Even in the midst of having to make a life-changing decision, I felt comfortable in the interim.

Our experience with Dr. Capel and his office staff was exceptional. Dr. Capel spent so much time with my husband and I to make sure we understood just what was going on with him. My husband dislike going to the doctor's office no matter what type of doctor it is, but he was pleased and that is saying something. Excellent customer service make you feel just like family. We need more doctors like him and his staff.

This was a great visit, the staff was friendly and easy to work with. The Doctor was FANTASTIC, there is nothing more nerve racking than going to see a surgeon about your neck/spine. Dr. Capel put me at ease, gave me some non-surgical options to work through and gave me a plan that we worked together on building.

I've been dealing with awful and consistent pain in my lower back for over 20 years since I fractured it in the military. I've been through numerous doctors and surgeons over the years, but I've had my condition explained as comprehensively as Dr. Capel explained it to me. The treatment he ordered provide me with relief that I've not had in many years. Dr. Capel and his staff are very professional, friendly and they display a genuine concern for the patients.

I want to express my gratitude to the office and hospital staff of Dr. Capel for their kind and patience care during my 2020 surgery. My family and I felt supported from the office trips, to the pre and post OP care. When explaining the diagnosis and procedure, Dr. Capel was informative, detailed, knowledgeable, and patient. Justine, Gabby, and April are excellent ambassadors for Dr Capel. He took time to explain, and was so kind. The surgery was not a problem, a laminectomy. He followed up. I am blessed to have found Dr Capel. I wish all doctors were so thorough.

Dr. Capel did surgery on my back in the year 2012 I haven’t had any problems he did L4 and L5 fusion I would like to tell him thank you again I haven’t seen him since 2013 Robert Williams Jackson Mississippi May God bless him

We met with Dr Capel today (6/30/2017) for my first consultation for back and hip/leg pain. He was very thorough and presented the various options to treatment my conditions. I will report back later about the results of the recommended treatments. We appreciated the time he spent to sit with me and my wife. We are optimistic.

After seeing numerous doctors and leaving their office frustrated and more lost when I walked in the Lord led me to Dr Capel. He took the time to go over every issue I had from cause and effect to how he was going to fix it. It's a comfort to know there are doctors who truely care about their patients and their piece of mind.

Dr. Capel did a si joint fuse on my husband and ruined his life.His pain level is far worse than before. Capel was hard to find reach after surgery. We once waited over 4 hours,all hs did is up pain meds. Shortly after my husbands surgery, I was sent to Capel for MRI comparison on me. He immediately switched it off and said my discs were black and I had DDD & prayed. I did not notice the 2 discs he gave me & dropped them in a file.One was another person. Later surgery fixed my L2-L3 broken ends
