At the final visit to Dr. Song's office to get 2nd vaccinations and way overdue flu shots, we were handed a FINAL printout of our medical records to give to the next physician. Then we were routinely asked to weigh in, go into a waiting room, and submit to BP testing. We declined. I asked the assistant why she was treating a visit for vaccinations like a routine office visit? I also asked her where she planned to record the weights and BP results if the FINAL medical report had already been printed. Finally, I asked her how the next doctor would know about today's shots? She did not have an answer, but instead conferred with 4 other individuals in the office before withdrawing us from the waiting room to sit outside the vaccination room where we should have been in the first place. I hope Dr. Song doesn't attempt to charge Medicare and Medicaid for two office visits that didn't take place.

Dr. Song's success is reliant primarily upon Asian patients, like most Flushing doctors, which is why Dr. Song is comfortable with staff who don't communicate well with other cultures. Why aren't there Russian, Latin, Indian, or Caribbean staff working at Dr. Song's office beyond the ocassional token employee? If Dr. Song doesn't mind taking patients' insurance and co-pay (no credit cards accepted), then why can't she give back some of that money by employing from the same ethnic groups she profits from? And, I don't believe Dr. Song has Black or LGBTQI+ patients at any of her locations.

Doctor Song, herself, has great bedside manner. Her staff is becoming consistently less friendly and courteous as time goes on. Most recent visit, one of the staff behind the desk voiced displeasure at having to call in to verify my insurance eligibility. Among other things, they eventually let me walk out without ever seeing the doctor or letting her know if though I was ill. I checked myself into urgent care instead.
