Dr. Yardlie Toussaint-Foster, DO

Everything! She was young, fresh, energetic. Came busting into the delivery room in galoshes with her beautiful colorful locs. I had a fast and hard labor, and she truly made the experience something I will always treasure. Doctor, if you ever happen to see this, know I’ve never forgotten you!

My daughter in law who suffered a miscarriage and had some complications post op was seen by this doctor and treated very poorly . She was rude and not compassionate at all . She gave conflicting instructions from what the previous doctor who did her surgery had said . She was argumentative and in my opinion she should not be in a position treating women who are already going through a loss of a child and only make them feel worse . She left us with more questions than answers and I definitely would not recommend her at all and I have worked as a registered nurse for over 33 years . Her description of being a caring compassionate doctor in her bio is not what we experienced and is certainly not what I would consider part of the caring difference as Saint Luke’s likes to promote . Shame on you doctor

Dr. Foster is an experienced compassionate, extremely knowledgeable doctor whom I have trusted for over 15 years. She listens to her patients' concerns and offers her best advice.

During the time the she was one of my doctors I never had a problem with her, she was very attentive, always responded to my questions and never was rude to me, she goes straight to the point and give a lot of good advice... so it is a little difficult for me to understand why so many bad reviews.

This doctor is the reason I switched OB offices more than halfway through my pregnancy. I only had 1 appointment with her where she went over my anatomy scan with me. The doctor who did the ultrasound found 2 possible markings of an extremely rare condition but wasn't too worried about it and wanted to follow up in 3 weeks. Dr. Foster read the report and shamed me for never doing genetic testing (even though the testing never would have found this rare condition to begin with). She then went on to compare my pregnancy to buying a washer&dryer. She explained that she likes to look around and see what's out there when buying these new appliances to see what she's getting in to. It was my right to pass on the testing and she had no right to push her "type A" (her words) views on me. After this appointment I decided I didn't want to risk her being the one to deliver my baby (who btw..does not have the condition) and so I left the practice.

Office mistakes for test results and charge for unnecessary visit not compensated.

Took her 6 weeks to notify me of an abnormal pap! Refused to provide colposcopy results before requiring a follow up appointment. Then I had to ask for the hard copy of the report. She handed it to me as I was walking out. She could not or would not answer my questions, rude demeanor, patronizing. She did not discuss the results, just told me I needed a follow up pap. She didn’t mention at all that I had cervicitis. When I called multiple times to ask why she’s not treating it or how to treat it, she said to make an appointment. That was why I was told to make the follow up appointment for the colposcopy in the first place to discuss the results that she did not discuss. Plus it took a month to get my results from the colposcopy. After repeated calls to office, I was told that usually meant the Dr had not reviewed my test results (4 weeks after the biopsy)! She immediately recommends radical procedures. I felt that I had more problems and symptoms after than before at a cost of $900!

I agree with the reviews . Bed side manners are terrible . She talk to me like I was a kid and I’m 54 . She rushed me through appointment where I had to ask questions while she was walking out the room . I will not go back to her . She is rude . I left her visit in tears .

I had a miscarriage and needed a D&C. She performed the D&C under anesthesia and I awoke in recovery with severe pain and low BP. I was sent home and had to come back to the ER due to the pain and difficulty breathing. The ER did a CT scan and discovered that she had perforated my uterus and small bowel during the procedure. I spent 2 weeks in the hospital (5 days in ICU). While I was a patient of hers, she was rude to me and never acknowledged her mistake. I would stay away from this doc.

Dr. Foster was pushy, aggressive, and mean during the birth of my child. She did not listen to my preferences and made every decision out of convenience to her. I would not recommend her to anyone.

I could not have found a more understanding PHYSICIAN than Dr. TOUSSAINT FOSTER! She took the time to listen, and come up with a plan, that worked for both of us,to lessen, if not cure the problem I had for five years. She was very patient, kind and made sure that the surgical team understood my fears regarding my reactions to anesthesia. She tells you what she can do , and what she can't, do and why. I found her honesty to be refreshing! Thank you !!

I had a horrible experience with her during my son's birth. Her bed side manners are awful. I am still traumatized. I would never recommend her to anyone. I am leaving the practice because of her

Rushed through my appointments, did not listen to my concerns and basically treated me like I knew nothing. Did not give me any information regarding the results of my test, just told me the results and not the implications of them. Prescribed me medicine I did not want, and gave me no direction or information on the prescription.

Can't say enough great things about Dr. Toussaint-Foster. I meet her before making an appointment and she is kind,understanding and has a great personality. The staff is fantastic, helpful, kind and even willing to take the extra step to follow up. Dr. Toussaint-Foster is focused on her patients health and well being. She is straight forward in her conversations and her upbeat spirit is wonderful in how she handled my care. I Have and Will continue to recommend women to her care.

I am trying to find out where Dr Toussaint - Foster went. I have seen her many times in East Stroudsburg and just loved this Doctor. I don't know who is leaving these reviews but she if the best Dr. I have ever had. She listens and is so caring and informative, I will be calling for an appointment.

Always rushing through appointments. Poor bedside manner. Gave incorrect information /advice. I love the rest of the doctors at the practice. Just not her.
