Pancreatic Cancer
Dr. Yang & his staff are wonderful! I don't understand why the reviews are so low. He is a wonderful surgeon & removed my husband's pancreatic cancer. He thoroughly explained the procedure on a marker board showing detailed drawings. He told us how many surgeries he performed & very was honest about the outcomes of the procedure. We could have gone for the Whipple procedure in La Jolla but we felt extremely confident choosing him for the procedure. He had the OR nurse inform me the progress throughout the surgical procedure. Then he called me immediately after the procedure to give me the results. He always had a wonderful demeanor, humorous at times & made us feel very comfortable that we chose him. His staff were always very friendly, efficient & prompt from the beginning of our cancer journey to our follow-up surgical appointments. We look forward to returning for our 6 month follow-up appointments.

This office is the worst! I was referred here by another doctor. Dr. Yang has no bedside manner and didn't have the time to even explain his thoughts or his office process. He spent no more than 5 minutes in the room with me. Then to find out what was going on I had to call and talk to his "assistant" who told me I had to wait for 1-2 weeks for an authorization. Two weeks have come and gone. I called my insurance and found out Dr. Yang's office never even submitted a referral request.

Horrible experience!!!! Had surgery a month and half ago, haven't healed at all, dr. Hasn't removed my stitches. I Kept calling for an appointment and they never bothered to call back. (Called five times left messages and spoke to someone once). You walk in to see a doctor and this one doesn't even listen to his patient, he doesn't care, always rushing you to get out. I Had to go to the hospital myself and will be having surgery AGAIN .
