Dr. Yocoima Plaza, MD

From the receptionist all the way through, this was the worse office ever. Rude is an understatement of this place. My mother in law was treated like garbage.Save yourself the headache of this place. They never call you back either.

I’ve been seeing Dr Plaza for years. She’s amazing. However, the organization of her office is embarrassing. I booked an appointment online and received a confirmation email. I took time off work and showed up for my appointment to then be told the online booking didn’t match up with their regular calendar. My appointment was never scheduled, even though it was confirmed. I wasted my morning and took PTO for nothing. I was also told that because of billing my IUD needed to be taken out and put back in with 2 separate appointments. So for them to make more money from insurance, I now need to pay 2 copays and take more time off work for that to happen. Completely unacceptable.

She was very rude for no reason, she made it seems like it was her way or the highway when healthcare supposed to be a team effort between patient and doctor. Mind you I only had to see her one time because my doctor was not there for that week and I needed to be check weekly because I was pregnant. I told her I already had plans with my doctor she still try to push her narrative down my throat and kept going back and forth with me about what she wants to do. She did not respect my opinion and what I wanted to do, definitely would not recommend to anyone. She seems a little off.

I do not recommend this obstetrician gynecologist at all, she is irresponsible, she has no ethics to carry out her work, she cares for her patients in a rush and is always absent, she is an unscrupulous ambitious person who only thinks about money and not the health of her patients. She always arrives late and attends rush and get aggravated when she is asked questions, she does not accompany and follow up with her pregnant patients at the time of labor. She appears every 10 hours and does not make an effort to carry out an ideal or adequate labor, she starts to do inductions and is not present, she does not know when to determine that an induction failed, putting at risk the lives of two people (the mother and the baby) the quickest solution for her is to perform a caesarean section due to her ambitious and lack of time. She always talks back and always has an answer in her mouth and her answers are terrible and bad… If you want your wife or her baby to suffer or risk their lives duri

I will not be taking my daughter back to Dr. Plaza and wouldn’t wish her experience on any girl or woman. My daughter came out of her appointment with tears in her eyes. The ultrasound technician was extremely unprofessional and my daughter was told that the traumatic procedure wasn’t even necessary in the first place. The office did not follow up with important details and, in some cases, never responded. This was my daughter’s experience. Her new doctor was shocked & appalled to hear what happened.

TERRIBLE VERY DISAPPOINT, I WILL NEVER GO BACK . I CALL MY HEALTH INSURANCE T REPORT YOCOIMA. SHE SAYS THAT WOMEN WITH HYSTERETOMY NEVER NEED TO HAVE A PAP TEST AGAIN. THAT'S NO TRUE. MANY WOMEN DIE OF VAGINAL CANCER EACH YEAR PER PERSON LIKEYOCOIMA PLAZA MD . I'M GOING TO TAKE LEGAL ACTION. WHY MD SUSAN FOX'S DOES THE PAP TEST TO WOMEN WITH HYSTERECTOMY.

I was a patient of Dr. Plaza since 2015 when I was pregnant with my first child. In 2019 I got the terrible news of being diagnosed with breast cancer. When I had my appointment with this dr. she told me and WRONGLY INFORMED ME that I needed to have a hysterectomy. Later I found out that it wasn't the case and this doctor wanted to take advantage of my situation to agree to a lucrative surgery. She is NOT HONEST AT ALL AND WILL PLAY WITH THE VULNERABILITY OF A PERSON IN HER FAVOR. Do NOT TRUST HER PLEASE.

I would recommend Dr. Plaza to anyone from GYN to OBGYN needs, she is by far the best doctor I have been to. She explained everything to the minimal details. Dr. Plaza makes treats us with respect and makes us feel extremely comfortable. She is very caring. She delivered my baby, and even with all the complications I had throughout my pregnancy, she provided me all the information needed, and provided the best care possible. All staff members are amazing as well, I meet a few of them during my hospital stay (30 days to be exact ) before having a baby, everyone super professional. If you are looking for a great doctor that will care for you, Dr. Plaza will be your doctor.

Dr Plaza is amazing! Not only does she have excellent bedside manners, she’s a great physician & I can tell she cares about me as a person & not just a $. I moved to Florida on a Friday in 2015 & found out on Saturday that I was pregnant. I had not established any medical care here so I was worried because my long term obgyn was in Atlanta. I found Dr Plaza & from day 1, she was a very caring, professional provider. She made sure that I had a successful pregnancy, she made herself available at all times. I never felt like a bother. As a first time mother I was a bit nervous. After delivering my son & despite me purchasing my home 40 miles away, I still make the trip to be seen by Dr Plaza because she is definitely worth it! She cares about my whole health and I appreciate her for that. I’d definitely recommend! Great office staff too!

This whole experience was horrible, I even walked out feeling uneasy and I use to work a doctors office for ten almost 10 years and never felt like that. I was told that I for sure had an STD and would need to tell my husband. I was told that if I got pregnant it would carry on to my baby. Dr Plaza was drawing labs that would confirm that. She told me that I would be getting a phone call with the lab results and I would also be able to view my results on the online portal. I NEVER got a call and when I reached the front desk twice by telephone to sort out the online portal it was still never resolved for me. I was never able to log in to my patient portal, there was an error. I had to reach Quest Labs directly to give me my test results. Which came back all NEGATIVE for STDs- I even rescheduled with a different OBGYN to confirm this so I wasn't "self diagnosing" and she confirmed that my blood results showed I tested negative for every single thing. Dr Plaza was wrong and horrible.

Dr. Plaza is a WONDERFUL doctor. She truly cares about her patients and wants to do what she can to help you get better. She listens to you and explains things until you understand. All of her staff is nice, willing to hep and does what they can so you are comfortable no matter what. I HIGHLY recommend her.

Dr. Plaza is very kind and made me feel very comfortable. She takes her time and makes sure to explain things well and makes you feel cared for. Some obs will treat you like a number and rush your appointment but Dr. Plaza is receptive, gentle, honest, and very very kind. I highly recommend!

Dr. Plaza took the time to thoroughly explain things and answered all the questions I had. She did not make me feel rushed, which overall makes for a more comfortable & pleasant experience.

I would highly recommend Dr. Plaza to anyone. She delivered our first baby this year. My delivery went smooth and she handled everything professionally. She made me feel very comfortable and was a great cheerleader throughout the delivery. She was amazing during the 9 months of the pregnancy. Always on time willing to answer any questions my husband and I had and very reassuring. She never brushed off any concerns and always made sure to address anything I was unsure of. She always has a great attitude And is very personable. I will continue seeing her for all my future pregnancies and will be recommending her to all my family and friends.
