Abysmal pain management treatment
I have been seeing dr Farhey for a few years and it started out all right but now when I tell her the medications are not treating my pain she tells me that that is what is proven to help. She keeps wanting to increase my doses when I tell her it is not helping so she wants me get X-rays of my lower back and hips when I told her I felt like it was muscle pain. My insurance is horrible and doesn’t pay for anything and when I tell her I can’t afford all the tests she makes me feel bad. Poor listener and not very in tune with what fibromyalgia presents as.

Caring and good listener
Dr Farhey listens to my concerns and recent physical problems. Asks questions to make sure we are on the same page. With so many types of Arthritis she works to determine what types I have to be aware of possible symptoms to watch for. Explaining this process is very important and she loves to educate the patient on what's going on with them.

I started seeing Dr. Farhey in the spring of 2018. She is very compassionate and caring. At the time of my husband’s illlness and subsequent death, she showed such empathy and concern. She understands how I feel about new medications, since I suffered anaphylactic shock from a medication. She has worked with me to get my medications in order and feeling better.

Dr. Farhey is an excellent, caring, knowledgeable Dr. She is not overloaded and has appointments available whenever I need to come in. She answers MyChart messages and encourages the use of messaging if you have any questions. The facility I see her at in Pleasant ridge/Midtown is equipped with a full lab for blood draws and a radiology dept. I schedule appointments during the work day and can have the appointment, blood work and x-rays completed in a little under an hour and a half.

she refused to do PA's on knee injections SHE recommended after sending me for MRI of them. that was the reason i left. very inconsistent with diagnosis vs treatment. i do have arthritis but it is more extensive than what she diagnosed. staff is also rude. also wanted me on medications i never cld reach a therapeutic dose at, and got mad when another doctor stopped the medication with my agreement because there is no point to take something you will never reach the therapeutic dose.
