Absolute best
I saw several GI’s who dismissed me and then found Dr Scarlett who has been a blessing. She listened to me, ordered tests, gave me a diagnosis and was amenable to trying several meds for me. She takes her time explaining everything and really cares about her patients. She is very busy because she is in demand. It took a while to get a new patient appt but she was so worth the wait. Cannot say enough good things about her and her very kind staff.

Doesn't contact patients back
She doesn't contact her patients OR your primary care doctor back and when you call to get a different gi physician they won't do it so you're stuck with a doctor that won't return messages or calls but they do tell you 'you can have your primary care provider refer you to a different location ' it's a shame.

Endoscope and Colonoscopy
I'm surprised by the negative reviews. Dr. Scarlett was so down-to-earth and cool. She answered my questions directly; like I was talking to a family member that is a doctor. This was my first endoscope and she put me at ease. My anesthesiologist was also incredibly kind and wonderful!

Unresponsive
Like others, I had a very difficult time getting in touch with Dr. Scarlett throughout. She wouldn't answer myChart without my calling her nurse. When she did answer, she was dismissive and unwilling to talk about my diagnostic process or care plan. After a concerning test result, she requested a more difficult and unpleasant test. I completed the test, my results were posted on myChart, AND I NEVER HEARD FROM HER AGAIN. It has been two months and I refuse to go through the hassle of trying to reach her. This is the worst experience I've ever had with a doctor. If you want someone responsive, avoid her.

I had a hard time reaching her after I got my test results. When I finally was able to contact (I had to go through patient relation) she told my test results were insignificant. After thinking about it for two weeks, I contacted my regular doctor, who took one look at the 'insignificant test' and order more test. We are still trying to find the cause of my insignificant test.

Does not respond to any messages via mychart or voicemails left at her office at all! I saw Dr. Scarlett in August of 2020, at which time, she ordered some tests for me to have done. After I had completed the first test, I left multiple voicemails with her head nurse as well as 2 messages via mychart asking the for doctor’s opinion about the results. Needless to say, I received no response. After 3 months or so with no reply, I finally had to schedule a televisit in order to talk to Dr. Scarlett about these results. When I explained how difficult it was to get ahold of her, she responded by telling me that I needed to leave a voicemail telling the nurse to call me back and verify that she got the message. I mean that’s just ridiculous! Currently, I’m having trouble getting her to give me another set of test results that was completed over 2 months ago. I would not recommend this doctor to anyone, she won’t answer any of your questions without having to schedule another appointment.
