Consider your options carefully
When cataract, glaucoma or eye surgery is needed, please consider the following:1. Obtain a minimum of 3 evaluations from reputable ophthalmologists.2. Compare the lens options, prices and if proven technology.3. Understand the differences between blended, multi-vision and UV adjustable lenses.5. Request contact lenses to simulate blended vision lenses.6. Understand the risk of eye damage, recuperation time and success rate of each procedure.7. Talk with other patients about the experience and result achieved.8. If you have eye floaters, recognize that after cataracts are removed, your floaters are more apparent and can be annoying.9. Be cautious and thorough in your decision process. You only have one chance to get it right!

I am an interventional cardiologist from Florida and I had very bad near vision with astigmatism, and my wife is a retired RN who had difficulty reading. I researched for about 2 weeks for the best opthalmologist to correct my and my wife's vision. I would have traveled to anywhere in the United States since it involves our vision. Luckily, the best candidate I found was Dr Choi, who was only a 5 hour drive away. My wife and I went to Dr Choi for consultation. We were lucky to get appointments quickly during the pandemic. Initially I thought we were going to get the SMILE procedure, but Dr Choi recommended intraocular lens replacement. Both of us eventually got our vision corrected by intraocular lens implants. Our procedures went perfectly and I now have perfect vision. I am also a consultant for the FAA and I have been recommending Dr Choi to the pilots who want vision correction. We are so grateful to Dr Choi and his staff. We could not be happier. Francis K. Le, MD

twice I have had scheduled appointments with Dr. Choi and each time I had to wait more than 1 hour and 10 minutes and still not seen by the doctor. I got up and left both times and I will not return. In both cases, he took my co-payment and has not returned my money. He may be a professional practitioner but he is very unprofessional in terms of his office staff and management practices. Very disappointing and disrespectful towards his patients. There were several others waiting as long as me but they showed either more restraint and/or patience but waiting over an hour from my scheduled appointment time is totally unacceptable.

Performed cataract surgery on both eyes 5 years ago. My vision improved markedly and has remained excellent to present. His O.D. Dr. Gregory is also excellent and the imaging test equipment including ultrasound is state of the art. They monitor my angle closure glaucoma every 4 months with pressures of 10 in each eye. Vision last appointment (March 2019) was 20/15. Not bad for 76 years old. Great doctors, great office!!!!!!

Had Lasik surgery from Dr. Choi he was very professional and answered any questions. Was scheduled for surgery the following week. Surgery was quick and I'm in my third week of recovery. My eyesight went from a prescription -2.75/-3 to 20/20. Money very well spent. Would recommend anyone wanting or thinking about Lasik to him. Very nice man.

Dr. Choi is an excellent surgeon. I had cataracts removed and astigmatism corrected in both eyes. My vision is very good. My dependency on glasses has been greatly reduced. Great bedside manner - very calming, answers questions, spends plenty of time with patients. He even prayed with me before the surgery. Beautiful office. His office is always crowded and that is because of his excellent expertise and personality. Staff is OK. I do trust him to do further surgery if necessary.

I have been a patient of Dr Choi's for a couple of years now and recently had cataract surgery on one eye. I returned to his office after surgery as requested but it was obvious that neither he nor his staff was prepared. The technician did not know I was still near-sighted and got upset when I could not see anything on the vision screen. When Dr Chou came in, he had me confused with another patient and thought I was going to have surgery on the other eye. It slolw dawned on him who I was.
