Dr. Yvette Bessent, MD

My doctor ordered a CT exam for me and my insurance company which Cigna a company know for denying claim sent it to Dr Yvette for review she simply denied my exam order, an exam ordered by a gastroenterologist putting my life in jeopardy now. How a doctor which been treating me for years, you who never see me you know better what i need than him. and this cigna company been denied 4 claim of 6 . My doctor is a gastroenterologist and she is a obstetrician she just denied my exam stated that i don't need it .

Humiliating and degrading. I’m haunted by how she treated me I front of another nurse.

Denied necessary medical testing of abnormal bone growth. An obstetrician / gynecologist has NO business reviewing or denying another doctors request for testing a clear medical issue. She operates outside of her area of expertise, which is ethically irresponsible. Avoid her at all costs! I will be reporting her to the NC Medical Board for violation of ethics.

She almost killed me. Kept adamantly trying to prescribe me birth control that was horrible for my body. Never listened to how I was feeling. All she cares about is big pharma and a big paycheck. Could care less about morals or ethics. Horrible physician horrible human being

Not anymore not responsibly and trust worthy

The reviews are clear. People either love or dislike this provider. She is very candid in her presentation of information. That is sometimes helpful, but in other times, a bit more compassion is needed. I saw Dr. Bessent during my first pregnancy and my experience with her was variable. I ended up switching to a different provider due to her treatment, tone, and overall condescending attitude during one visit. She's smart but doesn't always tune in to the emotional needs of patients.

Dr. Bessent delivered my first child and seriously made the whole experience less terrifying. I appreciate your care and her candor. She is honest and real. Not too mention she is hilarious and an open book. I would recommend her to all my friends and family.

I have seen Dr. Bessent for 20 years. She continues to be knowledgeable, and I truly trust my health and my daughter's health in her hands.

Terrible bedside manner. Did not help with issue I went in with at all either. Told me all about other things that were not even what I went in for.

Dr. Bessent quite literally saved my life. I had been bleeding heavily for months before going to see her. My previous physician stated there was nothing else she could do. Dr. Bessent did not give up. She kept on my case until she got an answer. Within days of my surgery, I felt better than I had in months. Within weeks, I was back into my normal routine. She is a life saver.

I have been a patient of Dr. Bessent for over 10yrs, and I love her! She delivered my baby girl 2yrs ago and everything went great. Never have I had an issue with her or her staff. She is always very upfront, gives you the facts with no fluff. But I look for that in all my doctors. Would highly recommend her!

No "bedside manner". Not friendly or compassionate. Charged me for a consult that she took it upon herself to conduct. This was my first time at this location and with Dr. Bessent and I will not be returning to either. I would not recommend her to anyone.

The staff was extremely condescending. I had an ultra sound appt for pregnancy that I was told was never supposed to happen according to Dr Bessent. I walked in and there was a problem with my insurance which the receptionist staff knew about ahead of time because they had a print out ready for when I arrived. They demanded I pay 2,000 dollars out of pocket right then or I wasn't getting the ultrasound. I walked out.

Rude

Dr. Bessent is a straight shooter..she doesn't mince words. I like that. You don't find that very often anymore

Unprofessional and lack treatment for a potential life threatening condition

Dr. Bessent was extremely rude, condescending, and jumped to conclusions before getting to know me as a patient/person. I switched to her because of a poor experience with another doctor in this same practice. As a woman, these visits are dreadful enough without the help of an inconsiderate doctor. I will not be returning to this practice.
