Had to find another Dr
I’ve visited this location last year for my annual check up. I chose to be with Amy T. Rieder F.N.P. I noticed at my first appointment when she would ask me questions, she would always talk over me or cut me off by trying to finish my sentence.. I talked to my mother about the situation and she recommended I schedule an appointment earlier during the day because maybe she was tired or burnt out when I came in. I decided to give her another chance by booking an AM appointment this time. Prior to coming to my second appointment, I told myself if I get this same uneasy feeling from her then I won’t be back to see her. The second time I came in, same thing. She would ask me questions and cut me off. The way she talked to me left me feeling small and inferior. I won’t recommend her to anyone I know.

I have been seeing Amy for several years and have been a patient at Family Care of Independence for over a decade now. They are always prompt with returning phone calls and I can always get in to see her fairly quickly. She is very personable and has multiple solutions to all of my issues, I never leave feeling like my issue wasn’t resolved. I highly recommended seeing Amy!

A very competent and friendly practioner. Amy asked the right questions, suggested appropriate treatments/ diagnostic procedures. She wanted data before finalizing a treatment plan. Neither my wife, a retired RN, or myself had met with Amy before and we both would feel very comfortable using her services again.
