This woman experiences any action by a patient as an assault to her authority, she has no "soft," negotiation, or conflict management skills. She also lacks any behavior science skills or respect for patient autonomy. I have been chronically ill since my late teens. I have the most severe white coat syndrome possible. When I told her assistant no blood pressure, Ms. Walkos became aggressive and said "you have to have your blood pressure taken or leave." Then she insulted me as I complied.
