DISCARDS YOU/DROPS BALL
After 1st dx'd with Stage 2 Breast Cancer Gina was amazing. But after only 3-4months into my aggressive chemotherapy treatment, she just deserted me. I had no clue what was going on, who to call, when to do anything which SHE was supposed to be helping, guiding and supporting thru but FAILED immensely. I was late starting my radiation treatments by 5months bc of her disappearance from my "Cancer Care Team" @ Menorah Medical Center. I had no idea she was going to just disappear after 3-4months into 3years of treatments, 21 surgeries including dbl mastectomy with failed reconstruction 35 hospitalizations, 300+ procedures and tests, countless appointments. Breast Cancer dx was aggressive, serious, complicated and very unfamiliar territory...I DESPERATELY NEEDED HER! She was great for those initial 3-4months but to just up & desert anoverwhelmed, scared, alone, frustrated Breast Cancer patient with 2 1/2yrs left of treatments, tests and appts was very wrong & caused extreme stress.
