Dr. Montez & Aquablation
I'm very satisfied with Dr. Montez and the 'aquablation' procedure. I suffered with the effects of an enlarged prostrate for many years, waiting for a procedure to be developed with less likelihood of bad side effects (incontinence, erectile disfunction, retrograde ejaculation.) This aquablation technique came along a few years ago and I was referred to Dr. Montez as one of the urologists in the Southwest U.S. with the most experience with it. He was friendly, helpful, and responsive. The procedure is quick and easy. It requires a night in the hospital and a catheter for about 48 hours thereafter. The catheter was easily the most unpleasant part of the experience. I had the procedure a month ago and was back to work the day after the catheter was removed. I have none of the potential unpleasant side effects and my urinary stream is as if I was 20 years old again.

Genuinely focused on your well-being!
Rather than rush me through a procedure, Dr. Montez took the time to discuss my options, and perhaps more importantly, he didn't recommend a potentially intrusive procedure that wasn't absolutely necessary, sparing me time, money, and some pain.

Dr. Montez is knowledgeable, compassionate and supportive. My husband who is his patient, feels Dr. is very helpful. Amazingly, he calls to let us know tests and procedures results. 5 Stars plus!

Dr. Montez works for City of Hope out of their West Covina and Glendora offices. He specializes in Surgical Urology. He has exceptional bed side manner and is very knowledgeable. He has a calm demeanor and I was able to reach him easily for any questions I had prior to my surgery. Good experience.
