My exam included just one of those, the Acuity test, done by a technician I saw two technicians and then spent 10 to 15 minutes with the doctor who had his back to me working on his computer the entire time we were in the room together. A total waste of time and money and a huge disappointment to me as I was looking for help. They . Tried to charge me $300 for one individual corrective lens, no frame, no second lens just one lens, $300. Unbelievable. If you need a low vision exam, do a lot of research and Choose Wisely, and avoid this place.

I was referred to Somerset Eye Care through my insurance (Horizon BCBS). What a great experience! I was called in at my appointment time and found all support staff to be very pleasant. The Technician explained all preliminary tests prior to performing them, and used alcohol wipes on all equipment prior to use. As I waited for the doctor to come in, the Technician returned to the room and advised me that she needed to redo one of the previous tests, because the pictures taken were not clear enough. I LOVED this! Why? Because it showed just how serious routine tests are taken by staff. She could've simply used the "close enough" approach which could have resulted in something detrimental to my vision in the future. When I finally met with Dr. Jonathan, he took his time performing additional vision tests and provided me with a new prescription. I highly recommend this practice for its professionalism and excellent bedside manner.
