If I could add a minus I would take away this one star I gave her. I’ve been in the medical field for 25 years. It was the worst appointment I have ever had in my life.

The visit I had with Rachael Cunnick recently was quite simply one of the very best visits I have EVER HAD with a medical person. To start, I asked her what the various designations on her card meant , and learned a lot from her answers. She is VERY knowledgeable and has an excellent manner with patients, in my opinion. You can tell she cares. I really, really like this person!

Exceptional provider, physician, healer. Compassionate and knowledgeable, helpful and supportive. (This is the first time my labs have been in range in years!) Easily contacted for questions and information. Replies quickly and consistently. Outstanding experiences with each visit and contact.

My visit with Rachael Cunnick was mediocore at best! As an unvaccinated individual she was sure to social distance her 8' from me although she had two masks on and I had a mask on. Her passive agrressive comments about how I should be vaccinated were not welcome! I am a 59 year old grown woman and DO NOT need her to belittle and chastise me about a drug that is still considered experimental. This was supposed to be a hands on visit, not a televisit, but Rachael never even got close enough to check my thyroid! If her immunizations and double masks are so effective please explain the social distancing and lack of hands on exam?! If she is so fearful to be around her patients perhaps she needs a new line of work. I will not be back to her!

Upon retirement of my previous diabetes educator I was fortunate to find availability for care with Rachael Cunnick, PA. She has followed the progression of my diabetes and made recommendations to specialists for follow-up and further treatment. She is professional, courteous, concerned and caring. She takes time to respond to all my questions, makes me a partner in my treatment, and is obviously there to assist me to achieve my goals. Most medical providers are 'tied to the computer' due to Medicare and other requirements, particularly as they review bloodwork, glucose meters, etc. necessary for diagnoses. Thus, visit summaries are available to my online account immediately after my appointment. She continues to offer telehealth options as well as office visits. I am grateful she is caring for me, and sincerely hope she will remain in her current practice with Lovelace. It is wonderful to find a good diabetes doctor, a great one like Rachael Cunnick is irreplaceable.

I recently moved to ABQ just over 1 year ago. I had a couple of apts. with Cunnick but felt she didn't listen to my symptoms and, although I was feeling better with my prior doctor, she called them a quack for the types of tests they ran. Also, she spends more time in front of the computer than looking at me. After feeling much worse under her care, I have chosen to switch practitioners.

Dr. Cunnick has been my endocrinologist for years. She helps me realize what I am doing right and what I am doing wrong. I really wish she'd go back to Presbyterian. She listen very carefully what I had to say then displayed to me her thoughts on what I needed to do.The staff was good and found me supplies when I'd run out.
