Dr. Ainsley McCowan, Primary Care
Dr. Ainsley McCowan is the best primary care doctor. I have been seeing her for the past year and she is very caring, listens well, knows her medical stuff and medical specialists. I highly recommend her A plus. She is now working in her Personalized Medical Care office in Chestnut Hill (above Wegmans). 75 year old architect who plays tennis from Honolulu, HI.

Rude and dismissive
Terrible experience. I was referred to Dr. McCowan by another Dr. and arranged a meet and greet. We had a pleasant enough discussion, and when I called back to make a first appointment, I was 1) first given an appointment, 2) then called the next day to be told she was 'full' and didn't have any openings but would call me back with other referrals, 3) then when I followed up, was told that in fact she was choosing not to take me on because she didn't feel she had rapport with me- from a 20-min nerve-wracking meeting.Unprofessional all around. Ultimately I'm glad I'm not going to be a patient of Dr. McCowan because her behavior in this non-clinical situation speaks poorly to what the experience of being her patient would be like.

She is amazing! Very thorough and willing to take her time with you during visits. Also very quick to respond to messages through her portal. This was a stark contrast from my previous PCP and I was so glad I made the switch to Dr. McCowan who doesn't look past any of my medical issues.
