Dr. Albert Wolkoff, MD

If you have a favorite benzodiazepine or other med, he’s great, he’ll give you plenty. If you actually want help, this is not your guy, unfortunately.

Thoughtful psychiatrist who is extremely personable and respectful. I am just wondering why he asked several times about whether or not I had ever been prescribed certain older medications. The meds he was asking me about ever taking are not just older, but more dangerous. I am quite aware that (each one of the 3-4) carry a much higher risk of severe side effects than the meds I take. I am a doctor too, so I would know.

Dr. Wolkoof is an excellent physician. He took me off a medication that was causing me to get into renal failure. I was terribly over medicated and he adjusted all my meds which brought me into remission. I highly recommend him to those that need help with their medication and counselling.

2nd appt, he did not remember me? Asked all same questions (like a first visit, my name!) Scary part! Did not remember or had no record of telling me to double med dosage and then having me cut back after I called him week later with terrible side effects! Left my last appt shaking and a mess. Worse then when I started!! Both appts nodded off couple times!!

Dr. Woolkoff and his secretary are awful and dealing with them has been a nightmare. The secretary was very rude and condescending and has no idea what she's doing with insurance. Dr. Woolkoff himself showed little concern about my situation at all and hasn't remembered who I was or anything of our meetings after 3 visits. I asked what side effects a med I'm taking has and he answered by telling me it has none, that alone should be enough for no one to see him. I highly discourage anyone see him
