I Treated Somewhere Else
Overall, I found this office in disarray. I was unable to access a record of notes of ANY visits I had with this provider. When I would call, often there was a recording and messages would go unanswered. Follow-ups AND referrals were NEVER made. I decided it was prudent to treat elsewhere.

I am a California resident that was seeking a Neurosurgeon for a Meningioma. After consulting with Dr. Carter, I decided to travel to Massachusetts General Hospital to have the surgery. His expertise along with his ability to communicate with his patients is exceptional.

Dr. Carter and his team are great. He operated on me in 2018 and changed my life. I don't say that lightly. I was diagnosed with a rare tumor in my left temporal lobe. Dr. Carter operated on me in 2018. He exercises great judgement and direction. If you are looking for a brain surgeon with great bedside manger, meet him and the team. I also want to say that the entire MGH team from pre-surgery to post operative care was spectacular. His team goes above and beyond.

My son was a patient of Dr. Carter at UCSD....we had a wonderful experience with him. I would travel there if or when necessary so he could continue my son's care.

Dr. Carter is exceptionally talented!! He was able to remove 99.9 percent of my epidermoid tumor, without impacting the nerves surrounded it. The other neurosurgeons that I had consulted with had estimated that they could remove about 80 percent of it, and a second surgery would be needed to remove the remaining 20 percent later down the line. Kudos to Dr. Carter and his staff! Couldn't be more pleased.
