ER Visit with Dr. Cheung
Absolutely horrible, would not recommend! I took my 19 year old daughter to the ER due to severe back pain....Dr. Cheung was very condescending and told my daughter she would 'reluctantly' approve an MRI 'but really, she should be going through the 'normal channels' for that and waiting just like everyone else rather than coming to the ER'. The imaging turned out that my daughter had a herniated disk in her back.....the pain was for real! To add insult to injury, Dr. Cheung billed my daughter's insurance company for in patient care rather than an ER visit. We arrived at the ER at 8:30 in the morning, ultimately received an MRI and a referral to a neurosurgeon, and were home by 3:00 in the afternoon. There was no in patient care provided but her billing company refuses to resubmit their claim. That issue is currently under appeal with Blue Cross Blue Shield.

She was kind and attentive, all while getting the important information. Helping me with my current pain level and then trying to find out what was wrong physically and treat my condition accordingly. She was nice, intelligent and ALSO respectful. I needed surgery (with another MD) and sadly (for me) she is only involved in emergency medical care as a specialty. As of late, (imho) most doctors treat patients as one of two things: idiots or junkies. She treated me like a human; that is very rare.
