. We started off good, he fixed another docs mistake. After surgery because I had a pain pump. I was giving no pain medicine so I woke up from surgery and agonizing pain screaming which he then ridiculed me about. he then went on to tell me I needed another surgery because I had pain and I do believe I needed that surgery but he let Pain doctor talk him out of doing surgery so he’s highly influenced by other people. Cannot make his own decisions. And I really don’t feel that he listens.

Excellent care
Met with Dr Grisaifi re: spinal stenosis problem and was determined that surgery was necessary. Doctor spent whatever time I needed to understand why and what was to be done. The follow up care by Dr. Grisafi and his entire staff was absolutely wonderful. They took the time to listen to my concerns and addressed each one in layman's terms1. Have been totally pain free since the surgery and would certainly recommend him for anyone in need of this type of surgery! Thanks Doctor as I have totally resumed my normal life now!

I seen him last Monday and all he told me was surgery was out of question if he's that good why does he do something with my spine instead of recommended me to the pain center for shots that doesn't take care of the problem that just covers it up I like him to give me a call my name is Stephen Lopuchovsky

Dr Grisafi and his team are Pros. He performed my 5 hour long surgery: Lumbar Decompression, bilateral fusion/interbody fusion 30 days ago. Doc and Team completed surgery just as he explained it pre-op. He visited daily while I was recovering at Southwoods hospital, further explaining all post-op issues and concerns. My rehab is ahead of schedule with limited pain. My pain level is less now than prior to operation with feelings returning to my lower body which was numb prior to operation. Thanks To Dr. Grisafi, his team, and Southwood Hospital employees for a job well done.

I was in debilitating pain from a pinched nerve for six months. Dr. Grisafi performed a lumbar laminectomy on me and I had immediate relief. You don't need to go to Cleveland or Pittsburgh for a world-class surgeon when there's one right here in Youngstown. I highly recommend him and Southwoods Health.

Dr. Grisafi did a spinal fusion on my L1,2 and2,3 in May of this year. The severe pain in my leg is gone and the pain in my back is alot better. Both the Dr. and his PA Rachel are so caring and knowledgable. They always came to see how i was doing in the hospital. I'm truly grateful to him for helping me to feel better! The staff at the hospital were wonderful too! An all around great experience!

Negative 1 star review. Don't trust him with your back. I woke up from surgery worse than I went in. He didn't believe me, so scar tissue built up until an MRI revealed I was still herniated. He's been through many health systems for a reason.

Unfortunately for me, I had a disk herniation (L3-L5) AND a cervical herniation (C4-C5) within 8 MONTHS of each other. Fortunately for me, I went to Dr. Grisafi. Not only were he and his staff helpful, professional and empathetic to the pain I was going through, but I consider BOTH of my surgeries a success. I felt immediate relief...and that's saying something! With my back herniation, I couldn't even stand up to walk. I was bent over at the waist and even that caused pain. With my neck, I could barely move my head in any direction and had shooting pain down my arm causing tingling and numbness. To me, feeling 'normal' again is a miracle. I am so thankful for Dr. Grisafi. He is a great surgeon!

Dr.Grasafi preformed a spinal fusion laminectomy in my lumbar spine that was half way done , free floating bone fragments were in my spinal canal, and the compressed l5 nerve that was left untreated led to footdrop. Every post op visit, I conveyed to the doc that my pain was increasing and he told me it is what it is and sent me to pain management for failed back surgery. A year later I had to undergo a complete 3 level fusion, a do over of sorts by a neurosurgical specialist.......being a patient of Dr. Grasafi’s was the most horrific experience.

This young man has the gift of great skill with his hands and a gift of a personality, rare for a surgeon I've been blessed by his service. He has a great R.N., Natalie Yuhacz and a thorough P.A. Rachel. A gift to this area. Pittsburgh/Cleveland WHO? (S/P Lum-Lami w/Fusion)

Dr. Grisafi treated me in his beaver office. He was patient, kind and understanding. He reviewed my symptoms and did a complete workup. I have had 3 cervical surgeries preformed by him. If it was not for him I would not be walking today. I would whole heartedly recommend Dr. Grisafi to anyone and I have to multiple people.

Dr. Grisafi did not even review my records before my appointment. Did not look at all of my MRI's, did not look at the x rays taken in his office that day. Told me to read a book about how to deal with chronic pain. Gave me ZERO solutions. Was being standoffish and egotistical the entire visit. Did a SMALL physical exam on me. Told me to deal with my pain because I am too young for surgery ( even though I am dealing with a collapsed L5-S1 disc and two more bulging putting pressure on nerves )

Dr. Grisafi was a godsend! I had a very severe ruptured disc with the worst pain I have felt in my life. Dr. Grisafi performed a microdiscectomy and my pain was virtually gone the same day. He told me that because of the time that my nerves were irritated, some lingering discomfort is normal, but should also go away. 1 day after the surgery and I already feel that starting to dissipate. While at the hospital he already scheduled my follow up. His PA called me the following morning to check on me

I had been dealing with neck pain for 10 years. Doctors were treating me for a herniated disc. I had been through therapy and pills to manage it as best as I could. I met Dr. Grisafi in 2015 and my life changed completely. He offered me a disc replacement surgery in 2017 and it was the best thing I ever did. The surgery was smooth and not too painful. Recovery was not that long. It has been 1 year from my surgery and I have had no pain.
