Did the seemingly impossible!
Around 2015 my son was in a horrific golf cart accident where a golf cart rolled over his leg, breaking the tibia and pulling his ACL along with a 'plug' of bone out of the bone in the knee the ACL is attached to. We went to the local hospital where it happened - they wouldn't touch it, it was too involved. We went to a specialist, same thing. We went to UNC and they referred us to Dr Kamath. Dr Kamath's passion for his work, bedside manner, and amazing skills have allowed my son to be fully and completely healed. Today, about 9 years later, I sent Dr. Kamath a 'thank you' card for all that he did for my son. Fantastic surgeon!

Wonderful Doctor
Dr. Kamath has been so very kind and helpful (replacing both of my shoulders). He is an excellent physician and is always caring and compassionate, something that is lacking in many doctors in the field of orthopaedics. He answers my questions and is always there for me.

Dr. Kamath was selfless in answering my many questions and helping me to plan out my treatment course. He is very upfront about non-surgical treatment options. Could not ask for a better doctor.

Never felt comfortable with him, he didn't even let me speak my problem and my issue with my shoulder, he judged without knowing my issue and where was exactly my pain! Not friendly at all, he doesn't last with the patient for 5 minutes! Didn't like his treatment at all! He is doing the treatment on me without telling me about it or what it is exactly, and was waiting in the room wondering what he will do next because I had no idea what was he talking about or what he want to do to my shoulder.

Dr. Ganesh Kamath has treated me for a cyst in my right shoulder, osteoarthritis in my right knee and both hips and bursitis in my right elbow. Without exception he has been thorough, explained options, was sincere and caring and talked to me one-on-one as an intelligent being. He is friendly, puts patients at ease, spends time with his patients and ensures questions are answered thoroughly. I am taken aback by some of the low reviews he has received here. Incredulous.

This doctor couldn't have been more helpful, kind and gracious! He spent so much time with me explaining everything, and gave me a shot, in my extremely painful knee, which I didn't even feel, and haven't had any pain since!
