I wish I would have read these reviews before my visit. Like many others Dr. Thott rushed through my appt. that he was more than 30 min late for...didn't listen to anything I said and provided zero direction. A complete waste of time and money. He dismissed what I said and only advised I get another blood test as directed by my pcp.

Caused my family so much anguish
My father used Dr. Thott as his specialist for diabetes. My father passed away March 28th. Due to my father being between GPs, the medical examiner needed a current Dr to sign the death certificate. Dr Thott would not sign. After only ever being able to speak to nurses and pleading for him to sign the cert. He still wouldn’t sign just because he legally did not need to (my father had no other Dr qualified to sign). My fathers body was rotting at the morgue bc they could not cremate him until the death cert was signed. The days I should have been mourning in peace I was disturbed to know my father was wasting away until Dr Thott would give in and sign. Eventually the funeral home made a complaint to the president of NW community hospital. Only after informing his superior did he sign the death cert. finally my dad will know peace but I will not forget all he put my family and me through during the worst days of my life. If you want a caring Dr go somewhere else.

Fantastic Doctor
I love Dr. Thott. First of all he spent more time with me than any other endocrinologists Ive seen. He actually spoke to me and explained my health issue. He explained why he thought change my medications would help. He also is very timely with his replies. I would not go to anyone else.

Didn't Listen At All - Rushed Appt
I spent no more than 5 minutes with Dr. Thott before he quickly ended the appointment. I listed many concerns that I had, but he only addressed the 2 things my PCP had put in their notes. He completely disregarded everything else I said to him. If you are a woman, don't waste your time making an appt with him - you won't have any questions answered.

Cried in the car
He was condescending. I went to the doctor looking for answer, And he not only didn’t give me an answer or any direction to feel better, but he laughed as he dismissed my symptoms, and concerns about blood results. And he couldn’t get out of there fast enough. I wasn’t even off the table he was like “any more questions” nope okay, said bye. I thought he might come back with an after visit summary bc it was so abrupt, but he was gone. As we left the nurses were laughing and froze when they saw me maybe I’m overthinking. But already on the verge of tears, it sent me over. Didn’t stop crying for an hour or two, thinking about the way the dr spoke to me. i also had to spell all my daily medications bc the intake nurse wasn’t familiar with even 1 of the 5 i take. I swear they’re Common antidepressants and blood pressure stuff a nurse should def know.

Easy to work with, Professional Expertise
Dr. Thott has been my endocrinologist for years and I couldn't be happier with him and his staff. He looks you in the eye, takes time to listen, and is responsive when I reach out through the mychart app with questions or Rx needs. He's also current on the latest advances in diabetic care. Case in point: I've had T1D since I was a young child and been on a pump since college. I'd tried a CGM a few years before seeing Dr. Thott and had a bad experience. He patiently encouraged me to give it a try with some of the newer models, letting me make an informed decision. I made the switch and now cannot conceive of ever going back. This improvement in my quality of life was a direct result of Dr. Thott's excellence in combining patient care with professional insight. His care team, Gaby in particular, have always been on top of Rx & insurance issues so I don't have to worry about that at all. I am very happy to recommend Dr. Thott.
