Dr. Lyu and his office were very responsive throughout my entire process of receiving diagnoses on my ADHD. He was kind and clear with options for treatment throughout!

Always felt taken care of at this office. They made appointment scheduling and communication super easy. Especially with medication shortages and stigma around mental health, Dr. Lyu and Hannah always made me feel accepted and supported. I could always shoot them a message if I had issues getting my medications. Dr. Lyu is very results oriented and straight to the point while also being considerate to the sensitive and vulnerable nature of psychiatric services. Truly grateful for the care I received here and would definitely recommend!

I felt very heard and understood by Dr Lyu. This was my first time going to a psychiatrist and his vibe made me feel at ease. I had terrible anxiety that was preventing me from getting my work done and it created an outsized amount of uncomfortableness for me. Because of his help I feel normal again and live a much more enjoyable life.

I have seen Dr. Lyu for two years and he has been a great psychiatrist. Dr. Lyu is very knowledgeable and in our sessions he is warm, genuine, and always makes sure I am involved in deciding the next steps in my treatment for anxiety and depression. He always takes the time to explain the pro's and con's of certain medications and he makes sure to get a full understanding of what I am going through before making suggestions. I have seen multiple psychiatrists in the past and Dr. Lyu has been the most thoughtful and caring when working with me. I would highly recommend Dr. Lyu to anyone struggling with their mental health and in need of medication.

Dr. Lyu really cares about his patients. My experience with other psychiatrists have been cold and short, often feeling like I’m just another case file on the list for the day. However, Dr. Lyu is not only knowledgeable but has the best bedside manner I have ever met in an MD. I’ve gone to many psychiatrists over the last decade and I do believe he is remarkable and one of the best in the US. His assistant is also kind and helpful. Highly recommend Dr Lyu and WAVE Psychiatry.

I switched to Dr. Lyu after aging out of my parents’ insurance plan and am absolutely thrilled. Dr. Lyu and his office coordinator, Hannah, are both fantastic. Hannah has never failed to respond to messages sent through the Spruce portal within five minutes during business hours and is without a doubt the best office coordinator I’ve ever had the pleasure of corresponding with. Dr. Lyu is incredibly friendly and approachable, which makes providing him with holistic life updates for medication purposes feel like a pleasure rather than a burden.When I came to his practice after being on the same medication regimen for 10+ years, his approach was not to just assume staying the course, but rather taking a full assessment of how the regimen was working for me. Appointments are very collaborative and he is great at justifying/rationalising his medical decisions in a way that they make sense to ‘laymen’. Nothing but praise for Dr. Lyu & Co.!

For our first meeting, I was gearing myself up for battle. I have had pretty awful experiences meeting with other psychiatrists, and came away with the impression that therapists were the ones who cared & psychiatrists want you out the door ASAP. Dr. Lyu completely changed my mind; from the jump, he was patient, kind, a great listener & amazing treatment partner. Like many others who are leaving reviews, I'm only leaving due to insurance issues, but I'm so grateful for the care he has provided. It truly changed my life. Thank you Dr. Lyu!

I'm truly so sad to leave Dr. Lyu's clinic due to a change in my insurance, but once the opportunity arises, I know I'll be returning! Dr. Lyu is very attentive, prompt and caring. He helped me through my diagnosis and taught me so much about treatment and details surrounding my medications. His office is very professional and handles all communications quickly. I'll miss having Dr. Lyu be a part of my care team, and I highly recommend him to anyone considering it! You'll be well taken care of.

Dr. Lyu is an amazing doctor, and I'm sad to have to find a new doctor now due to my insurance changing. I've been seeing him using telehealth since the start of the pandemic, and not sure I would have lasted this long doing okay without him! He's a consummate professional and a kind soul. He's super prompt (starts visits literally on the dot), his cancellation policy is a bit on the strict side but totally understandable. I recommend him highly.

I've been meaning to write this for a couple of months but could not remember where I saved the link lol The administration team is great. Never had to call them to deal with any paper work stuff, and appointments were available in a timely fashion. Dr. Lyu was my psychiatrist during a period of time where I had recently been diagnosed with something that really rocked my world. It was a confusing time for me, trying to understand how my diagnosis had affected me my whole life, yet had gone unnoticed. Dr. Lyu was patient and attentive throughout the whole experience. He not only heard what I said, but actually listened. Dr. Lyu was kind and never made me feel as if I were being judged or dismissed. He would ask questions, and helped me identify behavioral and thought patterns that were negatively affecting me. Dr. Lyu truly cares about his patients. He truly wants us to feel better, and understand ourselves and our diagnosis. Thank you Dr. Lyu!

I first found Dr. Lyu out of the need to get my meds refilled after a move from NY. I thought it would likely be a one time thing but he had such a kind nature that I continued seeing him. A year and some change later, I feel better than I ever have. Dr. Lyu is the ideal mix of a professional who gives you his medical advice and doctor who listens to his patients, their needs and wants especially when it comes to medicine. I usually prefer seeing other WOC doctors but I will be sticking with Dr Lyu until I eventually move back East!

Dr. Lyu is the first doctor who I've seen that took the time to really listen to what I was experiencing, provided an accurate diagnosis, and set up a plan that has been successful! He is extremely thorough, understanding, caring, non-judgmental, and intelligent in his field. I also enjoyed working together as a team as opposed to just being prescribed medication and set off into the world. He provided additional resources and tools to be able to manage and combat what I was going through. Like anything else, this process requires work on both sides. Dr. Lyu's positive and energetic personality definitely helped to motivate me to tackle what I was experiencing.

Very understanding, caring and thorough. I felt Dr. Lyu was genuine and very interested in helping me through one of the hardest years of my life dealing with the passing of my mother. I looked for hours trying to find a great doctor online through my insurance approved list of doctors and i found it in him. Also a big plus was the teleconference and communication through their app, being able to do remote visits and ask questions through the app was extremely helpful. Communication and getting in touch with Dr. Lyu was always easy.

Dr. Lyu is a phenomenal doctor. Unlike many in-network psychiatrists, he is genuinely interested in symptoms, general well-being, and impact(s) of medication(s). Additionally, he is very well-organized and runs his practice like a business; their patient communication protocols is some of the best I've seen. If I could give 100 stars, I would. Cannot over-emphasize how far above Dr. Lyu performs over other local options.

Courteous and thorough. I had a great experience with him the time I worked with him. Sad that I have to move and stop working with him.
