Very professional and personable. Answered ALL my questions including general ones about educational charts on the wall. Very honest and transparent about risks or lack of risks with my issue.

She listens to my concerns and takes the time to answer my questions. I feel she is concerned about her patients and provides excelent care.

Helen Kuo, MD is very skilled and professional. I have complete confidence in her. To the point, Dr. Kuo is the best.

Seemed very annoyed that I was referred to her/Urology. Appeared quite eager to leave the room like I was wasting her time. Hardly asked any questions and never asked how I was feeling. Lacks empathy. Based on her positive reviews it seems like the more complex and interesting your case is the nicer she is. Going in for something that’s common and “easy”? Don’t expect much help.

Chronic kidney problems my entire life. First we wait 40 minutes past appointment time for her to storm in tell me my referring provider who claims I had a blockage in kidney after ordering ultrasound was wrong, non of my underlying symptoms of side pain, nausea, bp problems, water retention, lack of need to urinate has anything to do with my kidneys and is obviously something I’m doing. Then lectures me on the results of five year old scans that show extensive damage that we’ve known about since I was a small child. Anytime the fact that I’ve had kidney issues my whole life was brought up, or issues I’ve had in the past they were dismissed like we were lying. All I was told was to watch and if the symptoms (visible blood in urine) comes back call and they may order tests. Yeah no I won’t be back

Expert surgeon, great bedside manner, and open and honest communication.

Dr. Kuo is very patient and thorough. Dr. Kuo is very capable and answered every one of our questions. Surgery went good, follow up visits went well. In fact she diagnosed another issue unrelated to my issue. Maybe saved my life. She seems to be kind too. I would highly recommend Dr. Kuo.

The staff is very efficient. The office is very clean. Helen was very knowledgable, friendly, and I felt comfortable being around her. She spent time with me and did not make me feel rushed. She was thorough about what the plan of action should be for my treatment. I would highly recommend her.

Dr Kuo has a calming and reassuring demeanor; takes the time to listen to her patients and explains in detail what actions need to be taken. Dr Kuo is a talented surgeon that took great care of me and fixed my medical problem. Although I hope never to have this condition again, if I do I would hope Dr Kuo would be the surgeon to handle it. I have complete confidence in her abilities. I will happily refer her to any of my family or friends who have kidney stone issues.

My 1st visit I had to wait almost 40mins to even be seen, then when Dr Kuo came in she was in a rush and I didn't feel like she answered my questions. She had me stop my uti antibiotics. 2 days later I was in so much pain I went in to see her pa, who was amazing she checked my urine and said it had a infection and sent it off to the lab, it came back with an infection. I went in today for a cystoscope still having urinary issues. She said the scope showed nothing, so she wasn't going to send out the urine for culture and 3 out of 4 urine samples had to be sent off to lab for culture 3 were good in the office but went sent out came back with infection. I asked her today to please send it out for culture she flat out told me no. So not only did she send me home last Tuesday with an infection that her PA found when I had to come back in pain. Really frustrating that she couldn't send it out for a culture and was very rude about it.

I have been under various urologists' care for many years, and feel more comfortable with Dr. Kuo as any I have had. She is knowledgeable and competent. Being a specialist in robotics was a big decision for me choosing to have her be my urologist.

I have had chronic kidney stones for the last 26 years so I have a long history of dealing with urologists. Dr Kuo is a straight shooter which I appreciate. She listens not only to my concerns but also my input. My case has not been an easy one. I think some of the urologists I have seen in the past would have given up on my situation. Not Dr Kuo. My case will probaby need to monitored the rest of my life and I plan on sticking with Dr Kuo for my urological care.
