Dr. Ilya Leyngold, MD

I'm so grateful my dermatologist recommended Dr. Ilya Leyngold. After major removal of squamous skin cancer on my ear, I needed to have plastic surgery very quickly to protect the exposed cartilage. Dr. Leyngold's office worked quickly with my dermatologist to arrange surgery within 3 days. Plus, Dr. Leyngold suggested a more reasonable and less extensive surgery to save my ear than was originally expected. I love the result from the surgery. I would highly recommend him and his caring staff.

Dr. Leyngold is one of the best physicians, hands down! He is intelligent, talented and very respectful. My surgical journey was a breeze! Dr. Leyngold explained everything well, addressed my concerns and never appeared rushed. I felt 100% comfortable in his care. He truly cares about his patients. Very professional and great surgeon. Post op instructions were clear and staff was available for after calls. I had almost zero pain and did not need to take any pain medication. I would recommend him to other people without any hesitation. Bravo!!! ???

Dr. Leyngold was one of my surgeons for a very tricky tumor on my optic nerve. From day one he was very professional and knowledgeable. I truly feel like I lucked out with having an amazing surgeon! Highly recommend him! Truly an amazing doctor.

Few months ago had blepharoplasty done. I had a strong ptosis of upper eyelids. The result exceeded all expectations. I look 10 years younger now. Professional and fast. Very happy to having found this doctor. Highly recommended.

I had a totally disappointing experience. I went to him for a relatively simple eyelid surgery to correct muscle damage from radiation. I was given the wrong discharge instructions which caused issues; if anyone had called to check on my recovery this would have been caught earlier. The improvement to my eye is none to negligible. This was a total waste of time and money, and my eye is now in worse condition that before. I find his attitude aloof and uncaring. I regret choosing this doctor.

Dr Leyngold and his assistant, Krista, are very efficient and knowledgeable. I was scheduled for surgery in a timely manner and all my surgical questions were answered in full.

Dr Leyngold is fantastic!!! He has a great staff! Overall, this experience was way better than I expected. I would recommend Dr. Leyngold for anyone considering eye surgery PERIOD.

Overall, I am very disappointed in this practice. I been seeing Dr. Leyngold over a year ( once every 3 months –probably 4 appointments total). He is a great doctor, no complaints from that perspective. However, the way the clinic, and the appointments are managed is just horrible. Pretty much the worst I’ve ever experienced. The wait times are at least an hour, the longest I’ve waited was 1h45min, which is unacceptable. It is very disrespectful of our time as patients. Switched and so HAPPY!

I had a surgical procedure called DCR with Crawford Tube I was very happy with my surgical experience, staff and counseling. I have never had such wonderful treatment. Dr. Leyngold took his time and explained everything to me, I had no questions or concerns with my post operative care. Everyone was very pleasant, caring and extraordinary. I would recommend Dr. Leyngold to any one.

I visited Dr. Leyngold a few weeks ago and received filler and Botox. Dr. Leyngold did an amazing job!!! My sister had her eye removed by Dr. Ilya M. Leyngold at Duke Ambulatory Surgical Center. She was discharged with a pain level of 6 and given only Tylenol. It was 48 hours before her pain was controlled. Her conformer popped out at home, the family was unprepared; very stressful. He does not ‘understand’ or ‘care’ about post-op patient pain control. He never came out to discuss her surgery with the family. Information about ‘home care’ and possible complications was very poor.
