She ruined my life! Her lack of knowledge and egotistical way of thinking takes precedence over your consent. She will destroy you and then vacation afterwards. Do not let her touch you while under anesthesia. I will never allow her to touch me, reside over, ,have any impact on , or let anyone consult to her on anything that has to do with me ever again. UAB is one of the worst hospitals I have ever gone to. Do not go there & do not trust anyone there especially this woman with your life. Save yourself and go somewhere else. I wish I could go back in time and warn myself but I can't so I'm warning you.

ileostomy/low anterior resection gone wrong
I had rectal cancer, and Dr. Cannon performed low anterior resection surgery to remove my rectal tumor in February 2023. She also did an ileostomy at the same time. My small intestine got twisted during surgery, and my stomach lining died and my bowels got backed up and were crushing my other organs. I developed gastroparesis and I have been in and out of the hospital for almost the past year because of complications from the surgery. I lost my job because of all the PTO time I had to use up at work for my hospitalizations. For almost a whole year, I was unable to walk or pee on my own because the hospitalizations made me weak. I lost a job I had been working at for 10 years. Her surgery ruined my life.

I have recommended Dr. Cannon to several patients after having a bowel resection in July 2014. She has a wonderful bedside manner and is an exceptional surgeon.
