Dr. Jennifer Friedman, MD

As a young patient, my experience with this OB-GYN left me so traumatized that it was another 10 years before I went to an OB-GYN again. She had a poor bedside manner, was not attentive or understanding of my concerns, and the her communication was dismissiveness and left me embarrassed. I was surprised to recently learn that 2 friends also saw her within a few years of my appointment, and neither returned for a second visit after their own distasteful experiences. As I'm now in the healthcare industry, I see the opportunities providers have to treat patients holistically, and it's a shame that she did not provide this level of much-deserved, much-needed care, especially to the vulnerable population of young women who need a trusting relationship with their doctors. It worries me that she is now teaching, since she's educating new generations of doctors in ways of care that will alienate and deter patients.
