Knowledgeable Doctor & excellent patient care
Got an abnormal EKG during a routine PCP visit and was referred to her for follow up (2nd EKG, cardiac stress test). At the same time (unrelated) - I had to leave my current fertility clinic abruptly because I was not eligible for care under the fertility clinic's exclusion policies, which I was not made aware of until far in the process. Needless to say I was devastated. She was a strong advocate for helping me find a new clinic who would work with me. She did thorough documentation during my testing to make sure I could advocate for myself as heart healthy and a good candidate for ART. She was knowledgeable, professional, and kind. The clinic has a dog that loves people and will gladly snuggle you while you wait to be seen. The staff are good about redirecting him if you're not a dog person - but trust me, you want to pet this dog - Finley is just the best. Hope I don't need to see a cardiologist again, but if I do, I'd go back in a heartbeat.

Stellar Cardiologist
I’ve been treated by Dr Urquhart for many years. Having two significantly different heart conditions requires a cardiologist who is exceptionally skilled, Dr Urquhart is exactly this doctor. I’ve recommended her multiple times without reservation and those people have been exceptionally pleased as well. Dr Urquhart’s staff can be quirky, but once you understand this you will realize you are there to see the best Cardiologist around, and it’s easy to look past the idiosyncrasies of her staff. If you want a fancy office and some high-tech straight out of school newbie doctor look elsewhere, if you want the a highly experienced expert Cardiologist she fills that requirement. Dr Urquhart is absolutely terrific and highly recommended.

I did not have a good experience with Dr. Urquhart. Of the three in-office visits I had, the wait was over an hour twice. I was seen for postprandial (after meal) tachycardia and BP disturbances, which had already been diagnosed by a different cardiologist. I was looking for treatment as this condition is quite debilitating. Instead I got a repeat of the tests already completed (plus some others) and a medication that made things worse. After Dr. Urquhart established that I didn't have any diseases of the heart and circulatory system, she was done. She asked me what my internist thought of "all this." Really? He was the one who referred me to a cardiologist. Postprandial problems with the cardiac rythm and blood pressure can be caused by a variety of endocrine and GI issues (reactive hypoglycemia, dumping syndrome, etc.), especially in people over 50. Dr. Urquhart seemed to have no knowledge in this area and no interest in helping me get relief. Very disheartening, no pun intended.

Dr. Urquhart is amazing. She listen and is incredibly thorough and explains everything well. Her MA and most of the other staff are also great. The exceptions are her receptionist and her echo technician. I received a voicemail while I was at work from the technician asking if I could come in to my appointment a little earlier the same day. I called the front desk to ask if I should come in for my appointment at the scheduled time, and the receptionist was rude and unhelpful. I ended up coming in earlier than scheduled, only to discover that the tech had been planning to go home early, despite my having a previously scheduled appointment. She was also a little insensitive during the echo -- not giving me privacy to change, having non-medical staff come in and out of the room during the procedure, and just not being very accommodating overall. But I wouldn't let this dissuade you from seeing Dr. Urquhart, as she is truly incredible. Just brace yourself for the less than stellar staff.

I have to concur with the reviews here. I have been a patient for 20years and have referred Dr. Urquhart to family and friends without reservation. The receptionist does not have your life in her hands afterall, and must in the end take care of patient needs because she has been there forever. Dr. Urquhart is indeed "the best of the best". She is no- nonsense, patient whole health centered, never seems rushed or dismissive. Highly recommend.

Dr. Urquhart herself the best of the best, well worth dealing with her INCREDIBLY unprofessional receptionist and awful wait times to see her. She explains things throughly and goes out of her way to listen to her patients. You would never guess that based on her receptionist who seems constantly in a bad mood, and terribly inconvenienced whenever she has to do her job.

Absolutely horrid front desk staff. They bad mouth patients as other patients are sitting there. The wait in the waiting room is at least an hour, with only 2 people in the office. While the staff is constantly busy eating and chatting on the phone. When asked how long the wait will be, you receive a rude "I don't know". When calling to make an appointment and letting front desk know of which times you have available, they say "I don't care, just schedule a time". The MEANING of UNPROFESSIONAL!

The first visit, I waited two hours to be seen. On the second visit, I was scheduled for a stress test. I waited one hour in the waiting room and then another 20 minutes in the exam room. When I complained, they told me the wait would be AT LEAST another 30-45 minutes. I left and will not go back. Total disrespect for the my time.
