Dr. Jon Pirrello, MD

Dr Pirrello repaired my hiatal hernia in March of 2022 and I have had no Gastro problems since and take no meds for heartburn. He is expertise in his surgery along with his staff. I will recommend him to anyone with this problem The surgery was quite painless and I went home the next day. I needed this surgery due to my stomach pressing on my heart.

I needed a hiatal hernia repair and was told that I would have to have gastric bypass. I didn't want gastric bypass, have never wanted it and told Dr Pirrello on at least four different occasions that I didn't want gastric bypass including just before going into the operating room. He did it against my stated wishes disregarding other, simpler procedures that would have effected a good outcome. I will never put my trust nor my health care in this man's hands again.

Dr Pirrello did my barietric surgery and gallbladder. He is very professional. He is caring, takes the time ans listens to your concerns. Explains everything ans just doesnt rush u on anything including surgery. I even followed him to his new office. For anyone who gave a bad review u obviously have the wrong dr cause he always listen and cares

Dr Jon saved me. I was not an easy case. He fixed my hernia and gave me my new tummy! I couldn’t be happier. I am so ready to live my new life. Team was exceptional. Fran and Blanca took care of me. Marta made sure I was ready to go when discharged. The entire surgical team was fantastic.

What a wonderful dr with a great bedside manner ! He helped me figure out my stomach issues after GB by another dr. He is so on board with what you need & a big part of the never ending job of keeping the weight down & is such a pleasure to talk to ! Dr. Pirrello saved my life. I’d had a complication from bariatric surgery that I had done out of state. Dr Pirrello was able to figure out what was wrong with me very quickly and preformed surgery to save my life. My recovery was very easy and I had zero complications after he fixed me up when it was expected I would have many complications and probably go septic. I attribute my easy recovery to his excellent skills at repairing the damage I had and also cleaning everything out so I did not get infected. My after care was also great and I knew everything I needed to do to have a successful recovery. Do to the seriousness of my issue and the chance that I might have more complications Dr Pirrello even gave me his personal phone number so I could contact him directly with any issues after I was discharged. What doctor is willing to do that these days?

Dr. Pirrello is by far one of the best doctors I have ever seen. During a time that can be very stressful, he always made me feel at ease. He makes you feel as if you're his only patient and makes your calls and message a priority. I ended up in the hospital a few days after my surgery, completely unrelated to the procedure, and he even took the time to visit me and check to see if I was doing ok. He is a phenomenal provider who I would highly recommend.

Dr.Pirrello is one of the few doctors out there who would actually spend time with his patients. My mother had few options on the table but he made an effort to show us visually and explain to us why one option preferred vs another. His staff is great. Always receive call backs and try their best to accommodate your needs.

The staff has no follow through and are not kind, the nurse is condescending as well, which ultimately was the reason I left. I had a different dietician who was excellent. Dr Pirrello was great at the first appointment, but did not return my call when I needed assistance, I was told he was too busy,after weeks of waiting. The cardiologist canceled my appointment after I waited 2 months because he was going on vacation and the office staff was not will to assist in finding someone new.

I had a very difficult situation in which I had to be admitted. If it were not for the expertise and emphathy of Dr. Pirrello and the Grace of God, I was in the right hands at the right time. I had an intestinal blockage that caused me to enter the E.R. Dr. Pirrello was such a teddy bear. He not only have the wings of an angel, but strong hearted. I highly,highly recommend him. Dr. Pirrello is a remarkable doctor and surgeon! He is extremely thorough, accurate, and professional; yet extremely sensitive and caring. He cares for the patient as an entire person, including addressing their needs and concerns! His expertise is very sharp. He makes sure his patients are well educated throughout their entire bariatric care journey. As a result of the excellent care I received from Dr. Pirrello and his Team, I have a feeling of security and my health has GREATLY improved!
