Dr. Yang was professional and compassionate. Made every effort to understand my concerns about having total shoulder replacement surgery. My surgery was a success and I am well recovering with increased range of motion and experiencing no pain. Just some mild soreness and tenderness and doing great. Dr. Yang did a great job and I still can’t believe how well the surgery went. I was expecting the worst and wasn’t sure how much pain to expect. To my surprise, I didn’t have any post op pain and now 3 months post op. I am recovering and having a great outcome. I have been told by my friends that my excellent recovery is a result of having a very well experienced surgeon who knew what they were doing. I am grateful to have Dr. Yang as my surgeon and for his excellent care.

I was referred to Dr. Yang and he came highly recommended from trusted surgeons. I looked him up and was pleased to see an impressive resume, and his work and care exceeded all expectations I could have had. Coming in with an old and severe tear in my rotator cuff, we had our work cut out for us. From the initial consult, to the day of surgery, and all our follow ups, Dr. Yang has been nothing short of brilliant and has given me full confidence I will come back stronger, return to sport, and live an active and healthy life. He's even helped with other issues and referred me to other incredible physicians. I can't thank him enough and would recommend him to anyone in need!

Dr. Yang performed my meniscus surgery yesterday. The guy is a rockstar. My knee feels so much better already. Minimal swelling and zero pain. My only disappointment was that I wish Kaiser could have gotten me in to see him sooner. This is my second meniscus surgery and while the last one was good, this one is fantastic. Also, the team that he works with does a great job with the prep, everything was smooth and on time.

Dr. Yang did a great job, giving me a new titanium shoulder joint almost three months ago. I'm still doing physical therapy to regain strength and motion but I'm able to do important things (like pulling up my pants) that I haven't been able to do for more than a year (I probably shouldn't put this in but if you have a bum shoulder you know what I'm talking about). And I can sleep without pain!!! Dr. Yang (and his team) has followed up with me regularly and is very helpful when I need it. A great experience!

Due to my cartilage basically evaporating due to almost 30 years as a camera assistant lifting heavy gear, in 2016 I had a get a shoulder replacement. Due to complications and an infection I had to have another, and then came time for my third replacement. Thank goodness I found Dr. Justin Yang at Kaiser. He first, very diligently, attacked the infection using a special spacer in my shoulder. When the infection cleared, and didn't grow on the spacer, he went ahead with the 3rd replacement surgery using a 3D printed part of the joint. When I saw the final X-rays I was struck by how straight the multiple screws in my shoulder were, which was not the case previously. Not sure if that means so much, except that it shows a certain precision and attention to detail that was not always evident in my previous procedures with different surgeons. Dr Yang is a highly skilled and very personable orthopedic surgeon. I was very pleased with the results of a reverse shoulder replacement he performed on me on May 10, 2024. Thanks to him, I am making a rapid recovery with my 'new' shoulder -- great mobility and no pain. I have recommended him to my brother for the same surgery.

I had to undergo my first ever surgery for my ACL and I couldn’t be happier that I found Dr. Yang. Of course, it being my first surgery, I was super nervous, scared, anxious, all the above. From the very first interaction I had with anyone that was part of Dr. Yang’s team, I felt comforted and more at ease. Everyone was so caring, patient, thoughtful, professional and courteous. I can’t thank them enough. Dr. Yang himself has an undeniable confidence about what he does that just made me feel so much better. As a physician and veteran of two previous knee surgeries (meniscus and ACL), I was looking for information about how to approach my most recent knee condition (a second torn meniscus in the same knee). Dr. Yang clearly discussed the potential risks and benefits and how they applied to me, taking into consideration my lifestyle and activities. I proceeded with surgery and the post operative recovery has been better than my previous procedures. I'm looking forward to ski season.

Dr Yang was very thoughtful and gave us options when it comes to repairing the ACL injury. We really appreciate his approach to treating our young athlete. His calming manner was very reassuring as well. His skills are without a doubt excellent. The outcome post op was very promising and hopefully our kid can go back playing sports again soon .

Dr. Yang's reverse shoulder replacement surgery was an easy and pain free procedure and recovery. My scar is almost invisible, and function is already close to pre-injury status. Considering my four-score age level, many kudos to Dr. Yang's skill. He's also a warm and friendly fella which makes him a pleasure to work with.
