Very nice doctor. Colonoscopy went very smoothly. Kudos to his professionalism and empathy. I needed both. This doctor was very kind to me, as well as his nurse!

Dr. Do was my doctor this morning for a colonoscopy at Salem Hospital. I have diagnosed health anxiety. My mother had colon cancer this past summer. I was very anxious for this test. I discovered that I have polyps. Dr. Do did not offer much explanation about what this meant . He also told me of another potential condition that he did not explain. He was cold and not empathetic. Bed side manner was non existent. I felt as if I was bothering him with questions. This has left me with dread and way more anxiety than I had before the test. I am sure that he is competent and experienced. However, for some of us with anxiety it is essential to have a compassionate and caring doctor. I write this to let others who suffer from anxiety what to expect and hopefully for Dr. Do to realize that this has consequences for his patients. I will be careful and read reviews before my next test. I will make sure not to go back to him for this procedure in the future.
