Good Colonoscopy Experience
Pre op and actual colonoscopy handled efficiently and professionally this week. I was able to get appt for actual colonoscopy, within 4 days of actual pre op consult due to a cancellation. On day before procedure I had 2 different prep questions, office staff and a doctor on call were very helpful. I did not meet doctor til day of procedure, but he was pleasant and professional. He was willing to answer questions before and after colonoscopy. Surgery staff were very good too! Recommend this doctor.

I worked with his PA a year before I met him. He is dismissive, presumptive, and accusatory. If you are masochistic and like being talked down to., sign right up. Let him presume you are an idiot, guilty until proven innocent, etc. You have areas of knowledge he doesn't, of course. If you get a chance, browbeat him over it. If you must see him, don't be simply miserable and confused. He'll deny your pain and dismiss your concerns. You'd better be dying to take his three minutes. I'd say he's in the right business, given he is a straight-up anus with a stinky disposition.

Disatisfied with this GI!
This GI doctor's office is iMPOSSIBLE to get a hold of on the phone! And, this GI doctor refused to prescribe some of my essential IBS meds! Would NOT do the 'resection' surgery, to get rid of my IBS!

Rude and dismissive
After seeing Dr. Rahal once, I decided to see how my 2nd visit went before switching to a different Gastroenterologist. Every concern or piece of information I asked/offered during my appointment was met with a rude reply. That was enough for me and I've had pretty extensive physician visit experience between my health issues and those of my husband/kids. Also noticed his procedure reviews weren't the greatest.

Very thorough
Had issues for 2 years and had seen multiple physicians who dismissed my symptoms. Dr Rahal did some testing and found the problem right away. Very thorough physician.

Communication is terrible
Has never identified my condition and has prescribed meds without my knowledge. The first indication he has done so is when pharmacy called to say it was ready. After a recent endoscopic procedure my lips were cut on the inside and have had persistent coughing up phlegm.

A nightmare! I was receiving a blood transfusion post colonoscopy. I looked 9 months pregnant. I required a colon resection months later due to the incompetence. I have a colostomy bag.,,,,,,now! RUN from this doctor!

Horrible. Failed to check for colitis (why I was there) or C diff. After insisting he ordered a culture. Positive for CDiff. Ordered meds, sent to wrong pharmacy 3 times. On last 2 days of meds NO Improvement. Unfortunately need him for referral to infectious disease doctor. Feel totally hung out to dry.

CAUTION
Doesn’t communicate; dismissive; never contacted patient to discuss pathology results; Sadly, after several days passed, we had to enlist a third party to get answers. Records were there, why wouldn’t a doctor contact patient as soon as possible to help ease the anxiety of waiting for test results?Unacceptable

Dr. Rahal is good with colonoscopies. Just hope that you never have to see any of the doctors in this practice for an immediate problem. The office staff is arrogant and some are very hard to understand. Yes, Covid-19 is bad, but IMG's Cattleridge office has inconsistent admission policies for accompanying spouses especically with elderly patients. The temperature check and quetionaire check people, in some instances, are rude, obnoxious, overbearing and do not listen. There are plenty of other Gastro practices in Sarasota. I'd suggest you try one.
