Dr. Kurt Sherick, MD

I have seen Dr Sherrick for 7 yrs. He takes the time to listen to the patient and is very compassionate. I have to pay out of pocket to see him but he is well worth it. I have been a nurse for 44 yrs and highly recommend him!

Surprisingly, a very compassionate person who dealt with me as I had hoped. He has a deep connection that I did not expect.

There have been communication problems with the front office, but they are usually small issues. Dr Sherrick is worth the minor frustrations!

Saw him once because my regular doc was unavailable. He spent half my appointment condescendingly lecturing me about how HIV/AIDS was and is a hoax, and everything we think we know about it is a lie. If you love hunting, hate women, and think science is a liberal conspiracy, this is the shrink for you!

Felt very uncomfortable talking to this doctor.

Dr. Sherick is very professional and bends to the needs of the patient. He is ready to change medications if one isn't working, and is thoughtful.

I had a terrible experience during my adolescence in the 90's. After going from psychiatrist to psychiatrist who only asked you what you were on, and what your side effects where. I ended up giving up on the industry as a whole. As a grown man in my late 30's I finally opted to return to therapy and found Dr. Scherick within my network. I finally found a person that was able to listen to my concerns and together we came upon a medication regiment that works! While this didnt happen immediately, we both worked to try various medications until striking upon a winning combo after a year. This is a very busy office, and the hold time can be extensive. But the staff if very nice, and the Dr. is an absolute gem.

I just left my 1st visit there, which was my 1st visit ever to whatever kind of doctor he is. I ask better health intake questions as a massage therapist than what he asked me. He was just checking off boxes, asking me vague questions that I'm grabbing polite answers for, he didn't dig in, or even explain what todays visit would entail: actually no one told me that. I thought I'd be talking about experiences w/ someone who has some empathy and insight, not just being called into a hallway where some unmasked man has his back to me, walking towards an office as if I'm supposed to follow him, then he introduces himself, see's me for 5 minutes, isn't wearing a mask the whole time (which isnt helpful considering part of my anxiety is about the inconsiderate nature of anti-vaxers/maskers) he was ready to write a prescription or a referral to see how it goes & be done with me because I'm "not that bad" (how can you know that much about someone in 5 minutes?!)

There were several things I didn't like about my visit. 1. He didn't wear a mask. (during a pandemic) 2. He didn't introduce himself. 3. The meeting was really quick. A couple of questions and BAM! Here's a prescription. 4. He went straight to medication. I thought he would've wanted to talk about my situation first to see what other strategies I could use. 5. Seems like we have to pay for EVERYTHING. He was more expensive than a pshychiatrist out of my network. Things I did. 1. The girl at the front desk was nice. (Though some of the girls at the front desk were not wearing masks.)

I absolutely adore Dr Sherrick And his staff. Everybody there is extremely understanding and accommodating. If you have questions or concerns all you have to do is open your mouth and talk about it and they will be answered.

You can tell this guy does not care at all. He is often late if you have an appointment first thing in the morning, as much as 45 minutes. Time spent in his office is less than 2 minutes, he might as well have a revolving door. Just there to write prescriptions and get on to the next person as fast as possible.

Dr. Sherick lacks Adult ADD knowledge. Charge for EVERYTHING, NOT empathetic to pts needs. I'm a military veteran, been unemployed for a year, desperately needed a job, requested two forms from same company, wanted $25 ea for 2 wk turnaround, explained my situation, requested exception for quicker turn around, EXTRA $100 to get back within 3 business days; $150 I didn't have...THEN that "prescription" was ready to be picked up...never requested it...office staff is incompetent! merryChristmas!

He has always been prompt, caring and great at listening to my concerns. Wait time is very good. I'm usually seen within 10 minutes of check in.

Bills insurance for services he does not provide to the patient. Refuses to discuss that there is an issue. Do yourself a favor and find a different doctor.

Never have I experienced a bigger jerk than Dr. Kurt Sherick. We had an 11:30a.m. appointment for my 88 year old mother. She is in a wheelchair and quite frail. When we arrived to Dr. Sherick's office at 11:25am there were no parking spaces available. Since this was a first visit, I told my sister to go ahead and start the paperwork while I waited to see if a parking space would open. Within minutes a space opened and I parked. He was the most uncaring, strange, and most un- trustworthy Doctor I have ever encountered. He does not even seem to know what he is doing, nor does it seem like he cares. Additionally, He left his practice without any notice and did not even bother with referrals.

One of the things I really like is the time I spend with the doctor. We discuss my medications. I comfortable relaying any concerns I have, and don't feel I have to go over the same information I discuss with my therapist. It's like sitting there repeating the same information over and over again. That's why I really like him doing his job - adjusting my meds when I feel something is not working, and my therapist doing her job of listening and helping me w/my problems. w
