Excellent Doctor
I have seen Dr. Selkirk for several years. She has always been on top of my condition. If there is anything I don't understand, she explains it thoroughly. I am so pleased to have her as my endocrinologist!

Extremely disappointing. Dr. Selkirk brushed off my textbook symptoms including Cardiac issues. After trying to explain through email how ill I was she did not respond. Anyone who suffers from Thyroid issues understands how debilitating and dangerous the symptoms are if not treated, and treated properly. Do not put yourself at risk.Keep searching.

Didn’t take me serious
Didn’t take my textbook symptoms serious. Waited 3 months for appointment and was greeted with a rushed and arrogant doctor. Brushed me off to suffer for months before I found another endocrinologist who tested me and found I had vitamin deficiency and Hashimoto’s disease.

Unfortunately, I had no choice but to FIRE Doctor Selkirk today, which is a shame because she is an excellent doctor who is extremely nice, patient and knowledgeable. In fact, she probably saved my life by finding a hormonal problem that two doctors before her had completely missed! It's the office staff! They are horrendous!! I have a lot of medical issues, and I see a lot of doctors (and I'm the opposite of a hypochondriac - I HATE going to the doctor, and I won't go unless I absolutely have to, so when I say I have "a lot of doctors", it's because they're absolutely necessary!). But the office staff at Harbor Medical is the absolute worst I have ever dealt with. And that's really saying something because my general surgeon has only one of lady receptionist, and she's mean as hell and clearly has dementia - but even she is a pleasure to deal with compared to the unholy cabal of office staff at this place! So, as regrettable as it is, I'm forced to cut Dr. Selkirk loose.

So very disappointed with the care I received with Dr.Selkirk- my PCP found a mass on my thyroid and I was referred to Dr.Selkirk- I had surgery to remove the mass and my thyroid (she was very insistent on this, I do believe it was a good decision)-- but NEVER took the time postop to discuss side effects and conditions I may be faced with after it was removed...a YEAR later and dealing with so many things- she spent five minutes per visit if I was lucky- now seeing a specialist in Boston!
