Dr. Lauren Banks, MD

Dr Banks has been my OBGYN for almost 10 years now and I absolutely adore her. She is patient, kind, understanding, she validates my concerns without ever making me feel bad for being worried or curious about something. She could move to another country and I would still go see her. Hands down the best doctor I have ever seen.

I came to Dr. Banks off conceiving during IVF- I was anxious as heck and high risk to begin with. She made me and my wife feel so welcomed and comfortable. Because I was an IVF pregnancy she offered additional scans and actually caught my short cervix at 28 weeks- when traditionally it wouldnt have been caught. She took every precaution with me, and despite being busy, never made me wait during our weekly appointments.

Dr. Banks is absolutely the best and most caring physician I have encountered. She's knowledgeable, patient, and genuine. As hectic as her schedule is, she always carries a positive attitude and attention to detail. During our 36 week check up, Dr. Banks sent us right to the hospital to prepare for a c-section after discovering early dilation along with my baby being in breach position. My water broke unexpectedly 30mins prior to the procedure and my baby's vitals began to drop. Dr. Banks took every measure to ensure the safety of my baby and I while we awaited the anesthesiologist's arrival. We would have been in so much panic if it wasn't for her amazing skills! The fact she was so calculated and had us prepare to go right to the hospital after our check up anticipating the need to deliver our baby asap and also recognizing the urgency for us to be on site at the facility was absolutely impressive! In addition, special thanks to the nurses and office staff for the great assistance!

During a difficult time, she put a smile on my face! She was SO friendly and makes you feel comfortable during your entire visit. She was able to squeeze me in last minute and still took the time to answer all my questions thoroughly. I did not feel rushed. I would recommend her to anybody! Amazing physician and person!

I'm honestly surprised by all of the great reviews for Dr. Banks. I stuck with her through my whole pregnancy since it was the beginning of the pandemic and I didn't know what other options I had. Yes, she appears to be very positive and friendly but she comes into the room like a tornado. Extremely high energy and talking 1000 words a minute. You can clearly tell she's overbooked and just rushing to get to the next patient. She would always be half-way out the door and I would have to stop her and tell her I had a question. If I had a simple question, she would tell me I could check their website instead of just giving me the answer. Or would say things like, well I'm sure you already googled this so you already know. I started bleeding after she checked my cervix dilation at 38 weeks. The bleeding never stopped and only got worse. I called and was told by the nurse that Dr. Banks said it was fine. After many years with the same GYN, I was so glad to make the change and trust someone new (closer to my house). Dr Banks has been my obgyn trough two pregnancies and deliveries. She has wonderful bedside manner and has always made time to answer all of my questions. There front staff and nurses at the practice are always great too.

She has been my OBGYN for about 5 years, and she’s the BEST EVER! So kind, so patient, and so understanding. She’s genuine. She’s birthed 1 of my babies and helped me through a miscarriage as well. I’m currently expecting another and I wouldn’t chose anyone else to see me through it.

She is an absolutely delightful doctor! Sheis caring and knowledgeable.

I have to second another reviewer- the office staff is AWFUL! This is such a shame because the nursing staff and doctors are great- BUT with the check in/checkout process your appt is sandwiched by the office's unnecessary and blatant attitude. I have transferred to a new practice bc I've been treated this way at every interaction (in person or phone); I feel spoke down to every occasion- I just can't do that for 9 months. Someone please tell (Deondra?) that patient care is NOT her calling.

Dr. Banks is the best gynecologist I've ever had! All of my previous gynecologists have made me feel awkward, uncomfortable, and extremely nervous. Dr. Banks however, didn't once make me feel anxious or uncomfortable. I used to avoid getting my well-woman exams for years because of my past experiences. I'm so lucky to have found this doctor and will never avoid a yearly check up again!

Dr. Banks is great! She is patient, answers questions in an understanding (but not dumbed-down) way, and seems willing to spend with you whatever time you need. Her office staff, unfortunately, is another story. I was told to arrive 45 minutes early for extra paperwork, then when I arrived at the requested time and asked for the paperwork, they acted like I was crazy. Her staff also made me pay for a service that is 100% covered under my insurance before I left the office.

Dr banks has both up to date knowledge and great bedside manner. She delivered my baby and was fantastic through out the process. I highly recommend her

I absolutely LOVE Dr. Banks (and her nurse), she is very caring and takes her time with me during my appointment. If it was not for her, I would absolutely leave this DR office due to the rudeness of the front office staff. Especially, Courtney, rolling her eyes and being rude for no reason at all to a patient is totally unacceptable. I plan on continuing my care with Dr. Banks but Courtney needs to learn some customer service skills stat!

Dr. Banks is so friendly and personable! She made the exam so much more comfortable with with her pleasant personality. She was patient and answered all my questions. She also took the time to give me referrals to other doctors for my other concerns, of which were not her specialty. Great experience with her and her staff! Highly recommend!

We interrupted Dr.Banks on a fine Sunday afternoon to deliver our daughter, she took such great care of both mom, and baby. She was very responsive to any questions or concerns we had throughout the pregnancy, putting us at ease. 5 stars for sure, keep up the great work.

Dr. Banks is amazing! Every time I go she is always very considerate and genuinely cares about me. She has been a relief to me while having difficulties trying to conceive. She is well worth an hour drive!

Dr. Banks was referred to me by a close friend because I am new to the area. I was pleasantly surprised at how friendly her staff was right off the bat. When I met with Dr. Banks she was very professional, encouraging, and up beat. I was most impressed with how personable she was. She patiently listened to all of my concerns and together we had a conversation about my particular situation. She was by far the most open minded, caring OB I have seen.

Dr Banks is a wonderful physician.She is not only caring and compassionate but is very knowledgeable and skilled in her field! I have and will continue to recommend her to all of my friends and family! She is just the BEST!!
