Dr. Madeline Russell, MD

Dr. Russell is great at doing colonoscopies and upper endoscopies; but has no time for follow up. I was given a challenging diagnosis by her office staff with no opportunity for follow up, just told to follow a certain diet. I would recommend her for screening colonoscopies and maybe GERD but nothing challenging.

Excellent ! I've had 2 procedures ..... wait time was minimal. Dr. Russell is polite, professional and answered all of my questions. I'll be back.

Dr. Russell is very well educated and extremely practical about her approach to my health treatment. She has a fine bedside manner, is very approachable and has been generous with her time.

Dr Russell and her staff are very personable and professional. While at my appointment Dr Russell spent time listening to my concerns and I felt very comfortable. I would recommend her to anyone.

The first time I saw Dr. Russell she was very negative and unpleasant and rushed. She refused to give me a medication. It was no big deal and refused to talk to me about it, and just said come back in three months.The feeling that she didn’t care was very obvious.But I gave her another chance and tried again. That time there was no extra problem, and things weren’t as terrible and she was less unpleasant. But she was just friendly because there was nothing to do at that moment.When things got severe again, I tried her one more time and she was rude, impatient, nasty, and sarcastic.Before I even saw her, I had seen her PA. She had done tests on me, she cared, and she was very good. She was a nice kind, pleasant understanding person. So I will search out another G.I. doctor. Too bad.Some people like her and some people don’t. It seems to be two extremes. But I experienced both of them. So thank you.

I'm glad we found Dr. Russell. She is efficient, knowledgeable and takes the time to explain the procedure. She also makes sure you have asked all the questions you might have.

Dr. Russell is a good doctor but the lack of communication to patients is a huge problem. No one returns calls. I had a very out of range result and wasn't called. I saw my result in Lab Corp site. I had to scan the result and send it via email to the office. The office manager called to tell me I needed a medication that cost $750 a month. No information from the physician. I was totally ignored by the practice.

Dr Russell and her staff were great during my procedures. Their customer service after-the-fact was horrible. Me and my husband have left 10+ messages and multiple emails and got one return call. At that point, they told us that they could not help us with a bill for an imaging specialist they sent us to even though the denial was because Dr. Russell's office did not follow procedure. I've asked for information to dispute this claim multiple times and have gotten zero responses to any of my requests.

I have left several messages in past 2 weeks requesting a call back from a nurse regarding changing a RX from local phar. to a mail order. The Hville office has yet to answer their phone so I have left a call back request. My mail order phar. has also been trying to reach the office to get the authorization to move the RX. Only glad this is not an emergency!

Dr. Russell is an amazing doctor. She was easy to talk to and got my procedure scheduled right away!! I would recommend her to allllll my friend and family.

My wife is a patient of Dr Russell and is very happy with her. Dr Russell is friendly, professional and thorough. She takes the time to listen, answer questions and explain procedures and results. Highly recommended.

Very inexperienced. She admitted she had never treated my (serious but relatively common) condition before. Did not know where to refer me for tests. Never followed up to see if I received tests. Poor communication with other doctors in my network. For anyone with a condition like mine that if treated improperly could have harsh consequences, would recommend other alternatives.

Dr. Russell was excellent! She took her time explaining everything carefully to me regarding my issues. She is very easy to talk to and really helped me understand my diagnosis.

1) they would not give me a physical prescription, they stated they would call it in prior to my wife’s procedure. When we got to the pharmacy they had not called it in. Had to wait 1.5 hrs 2) the following day we went to the hospital for the procedure only to find out that they did not schedule the procedure with the hospital. Had to spend 30 mins on the phone and wait an additional hour. 3) I have reached out to the management team numerous times and left messages, I have not heard back from them. They will gladly accept your money and demand that you be on time. However when they make mistakes (apparently often, as one nurse told me this has been the case several times with this company) they will just ignore you and expect you to move on. Do not trust them!!!

I had a very good experience with Dr. Russell. She was warm, friendly and completely professional.
