Dr. Maira Campos, MD

I have been a patient of Dr Campos for over a year. I am very grateful for her many contributions to my health care and well being, here are some key points:1) She goes over every aspect of my chart and makes useful recommendations for each every time.2) She listens properly to my preferences to minimize appointments and imaging and explains in detail when more are needed.3) She is compassionate and empathetic yet upbeat. I like her optimism and cheerfulness that puts away worries that are natural when we are battling disease.I have seen Dr. Campos come to the waiting room to see other patients whose mobility is limited to consult and re-assure concerns, an image that is representative of her practice is that of a patient, a woman, locking eyes with her in gratefulness, taking her hand and kissing it.

Dr. Campos foremost is an awesome human being! Absolute amazing Oncologist who just happens to be overflowing with compassion, warmth, humor and love! I was lucky enough to have her enter my life the week I received the news of my breast cancer. Every week as my daughter and I met with Dr. Campos as we walked through the months of chemo, surgery and radiation - and every single week she explained everything, listened to all our many questions and we all cried and laughed together until she felt I was calm and ready to have my infusion. Today, two years to the day after my final chemo -- myself, my daughter and my grandchildren are so very happy to celebrate that I remain CANCER FREE!! We are all so very grateful to Dr. Campos for all the years we have ahead with my loving family and friends! Thank you Dr. Campos - you have our love and blessings for everything wonderful in life for you and your beautiful family!!

Dr. Maira Campos is a gift to the medical community. She is a remarkable doctor, highly intelligent, with a capability to see the big picture, provide the pros and cons of certain options, and offer hope in every direction. There are no stones unturned for treatment. What is especially compelling is her compassion, love, and understanding, along with her ability to lift your spirit. Dr. Campos is truly a gift.

Dr. Maira Campos is amazing first off. I have Lupus and the many Doctors I’ve have seen in the past never took nearly close to the amount of time she spent with me. She not only answered my questions (most of my Doctors overlooked them) but also educated me to understand my Diagnosis pertaining to my Iron levels. I had a lump in my throat that my last Doctor disregarded (it could have been cancerous) and she was so on top of things to get me scanned right away and even biopsied if need be. Dr. Campos also brought my mind at ease as she was very quick to get back to me with my test results. I highly recommend her because she listens to her patients, advocates for you and cares so much about giving the best possible care to all her patients! I’m incredibly grateful for her there aren’t many Doctors like her anymore.

Dr. Campos gave me hope. She took so much time to sit down and take me through all the information about my cancer, give me time to process, and answer all my questions... as if she had nothing else in the world to do and nothing else on her mind. I cried, we laughed. She held my hand through it all. She prepared me for chemo, told me what to expect, and most important, made me understand that I COULD do it, that it WAS worth it. I owe my life to Dr. Campos.

08-2019 Mom was diagnosed with Breast cancer. We met Dr Campos in 06-2020, when I asked for a new Oncologist. She was warm, loving and kind; she held my mom’s hand and stroked her arm as she explained everything in terms an 85 year old woman, with some dementia, could understand. 6-23-2020, my mom had a radical mastectomy and 12 lymph nodes removed. Dr Campos came down to see her before she went in to surgery,. They found a second, more aggressive cancer when they went in. The surgeon said she had waited the 5 months, she would have would have died. I am pleased to say as of May 2021, my mom was and remains CANCER FREE. I give Dr Campos my highest recommendation. She is caring, compassionate and committed to the physical and emotional welfare of her patients. She will move heaven and earth for you and will truly see your loved one as a person and I can guarantee she will be your strongest advocate against cancer. Nancy Kerrigan, Bend, Oregon

Dr Campos diagnosed my CML just as my WBC count was starting to climb exponentially. She literally saved my life and did so with warmth, kindness, and extremely professional and decisive action. I went on Tasigna initially and within a few months had reached deep remission. Dr Campos was always available to me for questions and any other needs I had. It brings tears to me eyes when I think about how scary this time was for me in my life and I know that without her quality care and support, it would not have been the same experience. She is my angel and I could not be happier with her treatment plans, communication style and professional and peer reviewed choices for my health. If I could give 10 stars I would.

Doctor Campos was kind and compassionate and she is great listener. Good bedside manners and great at explaining and answering all questions and concerns. Never felt rushed at the office with her as she gave her all.
