Run don’t walk from Dr Hatton! He has done my eyelid surgery twice & needs to be done again. MGH Boston recommends a Dr with more experience after my consult. Went to urgent care after last surgery as had infection but he was not listening to me. It costs no more to go to the best for your precious eyes!

Blepharoplasty of both upper eyelids.
My first experience with conscious sedation was amazing. Aware of all the action around me without feeling any pain. The photographs taken before and after the surgery tell my story. My closest friend had the same surgery a few years back and she was amazed that I didn't experience any facial bruising.

He spent less than 5 minutes with me and barely looked at my eye. I saw him for a gritty eye and blurry eye sight. He felt a cyst by the tear duct and said that he couldn't do anything. When I asked him why my eye was gritty, he said "it's probably something else." If he had looked at my eye, he would have seen a large eyelash in my eye. I lived with this for 6 months until I saw an optometrist who took it out. Patients deserve better.

I recently had eyelid surgery to correct a post-surgery ptosis. Dr. Mark Hatton performed the surgery and I couldn’t be happier with the result. So glad I chose him. Thank you! Angela Gully

Think twice!!
If you are looking for a doctor who will take time to talk with you and answer any questions, you will not find it here. Dr. Hatton never even turned around from his computer to speak to me. I found the whole experience upsetting. When completed he went back to his computer and said I could go. I walked out with a used piece of gauze in my hand. Not recommended.

If I could give no stars I would. Worst Doctor I have ever seen. In and out of office in less than 5 minutes with issue not solved just told try wipes and come back if not gone. I have been dealing with this hard pea size lump under my eyelid that is causing discomfort and headaches for months have tried everything. Went back cause guess what the wipes did nothing! Had no clue who I was or what brought me back in could not feel it or find it?!?!?! Left after driving into Boston with out having it out as requested and the only reason for the appt. Have made an appt with Mass Eye and Ear. After reading many reviews I see he does this to many. Horrid

I recently had eyelid surgery. Dr Hatton had excellent reviews so I knew he is the one I wanted. I didn't want to wait until October, for the surgery, so Dr Hatton's appointment coordinator got me into the Stoneham location much sooner. Everyone was very professional and the surgery went off without a hitch. I just had my follow up appointment and all is well, I just still have some swelling that needs to go down. I would not call the procedure painful, I was just a tad uncomfortable the first few days. I was back at work in just a few days, but I work from home and can rest as needed. If you work out in the public you may want to take a few days off. I found Dr Hatton and his staff very personable and professional.
