Great
I first went to Dr. A 8 years ago, wanting a good physical exam. Right away, she discovered that I had Atrial Fibrillation, which started a whole chain of events, and has been resolved with a cardiac procedure. She saw me through spinal surgery, and so many conditions, as well as covid!I trust her! The Sharp RS system is designed so that if you need lab work, you are directed to the lab right away. Dr. A is very wonderful about answering questions via e-mail, telephone calls, and Telehealth. Love her main RN, Patty, too! They are so kind! (All of the Sharp staff is good natured and friendly!)

Thoughtful
Dr Alexander is a listener. She is willing to consider patient input/concerns and is not locked in to prevailing pharmaceutical options. I have had high cholesterol for almost 50 years, but she was willing to consider my resistance to taking statins. She ordered a CT scan for me, and results showed zero plaque build up/no risk of cardiac disease (same result as previous scan more than 8 years ago). I am thankful to have a PCP who takes my thinking seriously.

Completely dismissive and prioritized the "system"
I am a new Sharp-Reese Steely patient. I saw Dr. Alexander (my primary) for the 1st time on 6/22. I had sciatica for over a month and seen a Dr. at UC a week earlier. I was no longer able to sit w/o pain which meant I couldn't drive, work at a desk, or have meals or play games with my family. My pain worsened each day since mid-May. She told me that's normal, it would take time, be patient. She prescribed an opioid, gave me a referral for an X-ray & PT. I reiterated that my health was declining everyday & that I wasn't well enough to do PT. She dismissed my concerns! On 8/3/22 I ended up in the ER because my leg was going numb. I got an MRI which showed that I had a herniated disc. My symptoms were textbook. I have a new team and am looking forward to healing after 3 months of pain. Dr. Alexander seems to be "by the book." I came to her in crisis. Perhaps if I had a long-standing relationship with her, it would have been a different story. Ultimately, I felt dismissed and unheard.
