Dr Hollander repaired my shattered shoulder last January. This was a surgery with no guarantees as the injury was so severe. I am pain free and have complete use of my arm. Dr Hollander was caring and thorough during my treatment. And his staff, especially Frank, is first rate.

I was very pleased with Dr. Hollander. Although he is a surgeon he isn't ready to do surgery at the drop of a hat. He studies your problem and asks question to determine what your specific needs are. He came highly recommended to me and after seeing him several times and still under his care I highly recommend him.

Compassionate, but unprofessional in dealing with me. On 3 different occasions he said that he was willing to do a procedure that he introduced me to without bothering to check and see if it was approved by Medicare. He also did not disclose that he has no previous experience with the procedure. When Medicare refused coverage, he bailed out me without any notice and attempted to refer me to an experimental clinic many miles away. What a shock! Sub standard medical practice.

He is quirky and marches to his own drummer, but he answers his cell phone at night when I tore up my knee. He performed emergency surgery after local hospital was unable to help. His staff, Frank and Gabby, are responsive. In this day of not being able to reach a doctor, Dr. Hollander is worth a few quirks. He is personal in an impersonal world. My husband and I have been seeing him off and on for about 10 years.
