My late husband died one day post op from same day knee replacement surgery. I found him unresponsive, initiated CPR until EMS arrived. Watched paramedics intubate, resume chest compressions, drill IV access into his tibia , listened to AED repeatedly announce no shockable rhythm for 43 minutes before EMS physician approached me to stop compressions. I gave him permission to let my husband die. He lay on our living room floor for close to an hour waiting for funeral director to collect his lifeless body. As the second anniversary of my late (dead) husband’s death approaches I received an email survey to complete regarding satisfaction and quality of life. No joke. Same happened this time last year , after raising multiple complaints was promised would never happen again. Yet here we are. As if I needed another reminder I am widowed, his 6 siblings lost a brother , his 15 nieces /nephews, 9 great nieces /nephews (4 of who born after his death ) and 100s of friends that he is dead. Kicker is this happened at one year post - death. Knife skills may be adequate at best but guess we will never know. Do not recommend surgeon nor office staff.

Great doctor and fantastic surgeon. He did knee-replacement surgery on both my knees. I was hoping this, but i thought it unlikely as I was 70 already. He was very informative before surgery and also commented that I might end up hating hime in my first 2-3 weeks after surgery. I did not, but after the first few difficult weeks, I was so happy I had him as my surgeon. I recovered nicely, It is almost 2 years after surgery now and I can do anything possible. I went skiing last winter! It was great!

Great Experience
I had a partial knee replacement about 3 years ago. The entire process was fantastic. Dr O'Malley was excellent. He listens to me, he explains everything, he ensures all questions are answered. After surgery I did have a numb spot on the side of my patella. It took about 2 years, but I did get the feeling back. I would recommend Dr O'Malley.

I am the person who had total knee replacement on 1/14/20. This is my second post and my outer leg and foot right side is still numb from surgery. I was told it would go away in 2 weeks but its been over year and I'm sure it is never going away. I know he cut a main nerve. He was very rude with me and said he did nothing wrong! Please do yourself a favor and do not go to this quack or you will end up like me.

Awesome Dr! I had a spacer place in because of a previous hip replacement gone bad. ( different surgeon) Our insurance was coming to an end because my husband had lost his job. He did everything he could to get me into surgery to replace the spacer with the new hip before we were left with no insurance. He is a very caring Dr. I am actually gonna miss his big smile!

Its been 2yrs since my hip replacement surgery. I am only 51yrs old. I had vascular necrosis do to being a house painter 35yrs. After surgery pain management was horrible once released. If you like extreme pain then go to him. I never felt so much pain in my life. Awful pain management!! I now have leg length discrepancy. I have band syndrom as a result. I live in pain and now in pain management. My implant is lose and moving sending jolts of pain in my leg. It wasnt cemented in and it moves hitting nerves. He told me i would be pain free. Installed wrong size implant. He told me he never had a patient like me, what ever thats suppose to mean. Did not want to hear about my issues and basically said live with it. Now iam on opiod pain management and hopeing to get revision surgery soon. Beware!!

I’m not sure who the one star person is, but Dr. O’Malley is a very knowledgeable, compassionate doctor! I flew my daughter to Pittsburgh from Austin, Texas for a consultation. He is well worth traveling any distance!

Full hip replacement - Dr. O'Malley is an outstanding doctor. When I met him I had a concussion and was afraid of being put under for this major surgery. He explained the procedure and assured me I would be fine and I would receive good care. He was right and I was walking on my own in 4 weeks. He was very kind and has a great personality. He cares about his patients and also has a reputation as an excellent doctor. His support staff was great. Everything was well organized.
