I have been a patient of Dr. Cossa for over 20 years and he has always provided top notch care. He is thorough, in his explanations of what should or should not be done.

Dr. Cossa established a sincere, trusting relationship with the patient. He listens carefully to the patient, reviews all medicines and coordinates with other involved medical providers.

Since discovering my heart failure condition I have been under the care of Dr. Cossa and the staff at VIRGINIA HEART in Merrifield. I could not be more impressed with the care I’ve received. I always See Dr. Cosa or his PA, Jennie Kim, within minutes of checking in. They listen carefully to my concerns and give easily understood answers. The whole operation is very professional. If I have questions between appointments I get an answer in less than a day. I believe I have received the best care possible. I have also received care at VIRGINIA HEART from Dr. McSwain and James O’Hara who, again, have provided wonderful professional care and concern for me as a patient.

Having been a patient of Dr. Cossa for several years, I can attest to his excellent professional service. He spends whatever time is needed with the patient, and he explains his recommendations very well. He pays attention to test results and uses them as guideposts in his conclusions and plans of treatment. I recommend him highly.

I had a great experience with Dr Cossa as he was very attentive to my needs and was very knowledgeable and experienced. Not only that Dr Cossa was very kind and nice man.

Dr. Cossa does not rush his patients. He asks good questions and listens. He was reassuring and made me feel good about my progress.

My 89 year old mother was welcomed as if she were the staff's mother! Such attentive and respectful attention was given to her. Dr Cossa listened to Mom's situation and was resourceful in giving her options to move forward.

Due to such poor care, misdiagnosis, sent me home w/o blood thinners if you can imagine. Aloof attitude and when he knew I was misdiagnosed never told me, kept me on unnecessary Rx, which contributed to a huge weight gain, and with lipitor hitting my liver, pushed me into the group of woman that became diabetic due to the statin. Deaf ears. I should have RUN as soon as I was out of the Cath lab, which I had a bleed out. I am now at high risk for Covid 19, in my opinion, YOU can find a BETTER Cardiologist than Dr. Nicolas Cossa! My quality of life, longevity, and risks from a healthy patient to a dire one was the catalyst from this lack of attention and care. If there was 0 stars or negative, that would be the appropriate rating in my experience and opinion!!

Nick Cossa has been my cardiologist for 20 years. He is a super star. I totally trust him. Calm, knowledgeable, cordial, and honest. You can count on him big time

Terrible, I was in extreme pain during the procedure

Dr. Cossa spends as much time as necessary to discuss my health and answer all my questions.

Dr. Cossa did angioplasty on one clogged artery and inserted a stent in theother clogged artery and then waited hurs for me to awaken from the procedure. Very thorough and professional. Four years later and still no recurrence of problems. His associate Dr. Vives is now my cardiologist at the same Virginia Heart practice.

Excellent care. Very thorough. The doctor, PA and all of the staff have been wonderful. I'm feeling much better!

My first visit to Dr. Cossa. I left quite impressed. Never felt rushed when talking to him. He is an exceptional listener and answered all of my questions throughly. He makes you feel like this is the first time he has heard these questions and you are the first patient who has asked. A rare quality that most doctors don't have. He suggested alternatives that in a month may eliminate my need to stay on blood thinners. I can't tell you how happy I was to hear that!
